James 4:7(NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Through Jesus Christ, we have victory!!<\/p>\n

The devil\u00a0cannot\u00a0make us do anything if we belong to Christ. We have been given authority to defeat the enemy in our lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Luke 10:19 (NKJV) 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We\u00a0have to choose\u00a0what God says is good for us, and then we have to do <\/em>it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we are full of lust, and it’s all we think about, it’s no good.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we love to drink and do drugs and we don’t care if we hurt the people around us, we need to see it and what it is doing and know that it’s no good.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we love to eat and eat, and have no control over it, we need to understand that, over time,\u00a0overeating\u00a0can cause great damage to our\u00a0health. It\u00a0can lead to\u00a0obesity, which can eventually kill us. It’s NO good.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There are so many other bad things we can let control us. However, if we know who we are in Christ, we will know that none of these things can have control over us\u00a0if we don’t want them to. Period!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

That is the key; determining whether or not we\u00a0want it. Because if we do <\/em>want it, then it will never stop. And we will never change it. And we will eventually die under the control of that very thing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We have to see<\/em><\/strong> that it is the thing destroying us.\u00a0We have to ask God, through\u00a0His Son, Jesus Christ, to help us say no to it and to give us strength, wisdom and deliverance from it.<\/p>\n

It takes work and that is why\u00a0we need to reach a point where we actually develop a hatred toward it, so that we will do all that it takes to get rid of\u00a0it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some of us need to be delivered today from wrong things that we love. We need to understand that they are killing us slowly and ruining our relationships with family and friends.<\/p>\n

We are the only one who can make the change. We can cry all we want that we hate it and what it does to us and others, but unless we take the steps to stop it, nothing will happen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus Christ has won the battle\u00a0over it already. We just need to ask Him for help and genuinely mean it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Prayer for deliverance…<\/p>\n

Dear God,<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Today I come to you with a heart of repentance for the way I have lived my life, for the very things I did to hurt my body. I did this to myself and I’m sorry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I now want to ask you for help. I need deliverance from the enemy that I have let into my life. I\u00a0 want to close those doors and shut him out. I want no more of this in my life. Today, I ask to be delivered from drinking, porn, drugs, anger, abuse, lust, jealousy, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I want the life that you want for me. I want to be that man or woman you have called me to be. I know it may take time for me to learn, but I’m willing. In the name of your precious Son, Jesus Christ, please help me.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Father, I ask You to bring the right people and friends around me and to open the doors of opportunity that You have for me, and give me the strength and courage to walk through them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Thank you Father. I want to do right and I am willing to take one day at a time and follow You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
