Ephesians 6:14 (NKJV) 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Stepping up to\u00a0the\u00a0plate can sometimes be scary. There is no doubt about that. But if it is what God wants us to do, we need to take the step.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Many years ago, we were asked to step up to the plate and be the pillars of a crumbling church.<\/p>\n

We had never done anything like that before. And at the time, we were hurting within ourselves after seeing what had taken place. We were in the midst of our own pain and sorrow. Our hearts were hurting from the damage that was done. It touched us in a very personal way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When things happen to us personally, it can be hard to pick up the pieces and move on. It’s hard to be strong in these situations.<\/p>\n

We ached\u00a0so badly in our hearts. And our eyes were filled with tears. We couldn’t see a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.\u00a0But, that is when God builds that muscle in us, to believe for what we can’t see.<\/p>\n

It’s\u00a0in those moments that we\u00a0forgive, trust and keep going and do what needs to be done, even when we are hurting and in pain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He brings beautiful things out of what seem to be terrible situations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We just have to step up to the plate\u00a0and stand, letting\u00a0Him\u00a0lead, before we get to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and the beauty that is waiting there for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
