Psalm 116:6 (NLT) 6 The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me.<\/p>\n
God wants us to have childlike faith. Faith is the foundation of our walk with Him. In fact, without faith, we can’t please God.<\/p>\n
Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.<\/p>\n
Childlike faith is what God asks of us, but what does that mean. What is<\/i> childlike faith?<\/p>\n
Having faith like a child means that we give someone 100% trust. We don’t question them. We don’t doubt them. We know that if they say they will do something, then they will do it. No questions asked.<\/p>\n
Children trust parents unconditionally, unless they have been given a reason not to do so. When a child jumps into their daddy’s arms, they fully expect and know that he will catch them. They don’t stop and think about it. They don’t question whether he will catch them or not. They just jump.<\/p>\n
And so it is with our Father in heaven. He wants us to trust Him with everything about our lives. The little things and<\/i> the big things. The critically important and the not-so-important.<\/p>\n
Jesus Himself said that unless we become like children, we can’t enter into the kingdom of God.<\/p>\n
Matthew 18:2-3 (NKJV) 2 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3 and said, \u201cAssuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven<\/span>.<\/p>\n He is God Almighty, Jehovah Jireh. He is the Alpha and the Omega, who was, and is, and is to come.<\/p>\n Trust Him with everything.
