Romans 8:28 (NKJV) 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.<\/p>\n
Way too often this verse is quoted when someone goes through a tragedy or a terrible loss of some kind.<\/p>\n
But, this verse is\u00a0about more than just tragic situations. It applies to every\u00a0situation\u00a0in our lives.<\/p>\n
Sometimes we go through things that might\u00a0look<\/i>\u00a0bad on the surface, but really aren’t so bad if we let God show us what’s really going on.<\/p>\n
I remember, many years ago, when the factory I had worked at for almost 13 years announced that they were closing up. I was devastated initially. I had a family to support and I had no idea how I would do that with my job disappearing.<\/p>\n
But, what\u00a0I\u00a0<\/i>saw as a terrible thing,\u00a0God<\/i>\u00a0used as an opportunity to help me move up.<\/p>\n
By His hand, God used that\u00a0situation to allow me to go back to school at 36 years old and get certifications in\u00a0various\u00a0types of computer networking and server management. That opened the doors for me to\u00a0move\u00a0into the I.T. field, where I worked for the next 7-10 years.<\/p>\n
From there, God used that as a stepping stone for us to move in to ministry, using computers and the internet to reach out to people around the world to share His word and teach His life-changing truths.<\/p>\n
Little did I know, when I felt so betrayed by my former employer, that\u00a0I would eventually have God as my new employer and CEO!<\/p>\n
So,\u00a0if you see things changing in your life, and it looks like things are on the downturn, don’t give up hope and don’t lose faith.<\/p>\n
God can take those things that scare us and cause us to pull back in fear and turn them into something very good.<\/p>\n
Trust Him.<\/p>\n
