James 4:7 (NKJV) 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Submission; that’s a wonderful word we all love to\u00a0hear,\u00a0right?<\/p>\n

Not usually. It\u00a0takes\u00a0us time to learn how to submit. It takes us a bit of time to learn who to\u00a0submit to. And it takes time and effort to walk\u00a0in and remain in submission.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our mind automatically wants to do its own thing. It wars against the things of God. It wants to be free to say and do whatever it wants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Romans 8:7-8 (NKJV) 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor\u00a0indeed\u00a0can be.\u00a08 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When\u00a0we\u00a0are\u00a0walking in the flesh, we are not pleasing God. We are pleasing ourselves. Submitting to God means letting His\u00a0Spirit dwell in us and guide our heart and\u00a0our mind. This changes the\u00a0way we think and the way we do\u00a0things.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

One of the things we can\u00a0be certain about, when it comes to\u00a0submitting, is learning that if God is asking us to do something\u00a0then we can surely know that it’s going to turn out good, whether we fully understand it or not.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

How do we tell if it is God or just our minds speaking to us?<\/p>\n

Whatever it is that God asks us to do, it will always go along with His word. He won’t ask us to do something that goes against His truth spoken in the Holy Bible.<\/p>\n

Don’t hesitate to do things the way God is asking us to do them. We may not understand them at first, but that is where our faith will have to kick in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Submitting to God may sometimes cause us to think and feel like we don’t know what we are doing, because usually we have never done it this way before. It is a very humbling experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

1 Peter 5:6 (NKJV) 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our question today is this: Are we ready to humble ourselves,\u00a0let go and submit everything\u00a0to Him? Are we ready to trust\u00a0Him in His\u00a0“due time?”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
