Psalm 89:8 (NKJV) 8 O Lord God of hosts,\u00a0Who\u00a0is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God is faithful to help us\u00a0ordinary people do great things on this earth, and still remain humble.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Here are just a few examples…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If Joseph didn’t do his part, if Mary didn’t do her part, if John the\u00a0Baptist\u00a0didn’t do his part, where would we be today? These were just ordinary people following God’s plan with their hearts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

You see, Joseph’s part was to believe what God was doing in Mary. This child of the Holy Spirit, this child who would come and save us from our\u00a0sins, was in his soon-to-be wife’s belly. He had to believe and accept that it was as he had been told. It took an angel to convince him, but he accepted it.<\/p>\n

After the child was born, he had to follow God’s steps in keeping Him safe and protected. Right from the beginning, his son was sought after. Herod wanted Him dead. In order to keep Him alive, Joseph had to listen to God and obey Him, taking the necessary steps to\u00a0keep his Son alive.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Mary’s part was to accept God’s\u00a0word for her, that she would be\u00a0pregnant\u00a0by\u00a0the seed of the\u00a0Holy Spirit\u00a0and carry God’s Son, Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

She had to believe that she would be impregnated without\u00a0ever\u00a0being intimately involved with a man. That takes faith!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

John the Baptist was to be a witness for Jesus, telling people about Him before anyone knew who He was. He was a ground breaker, so to speak. He was a preparer; someone who puts his reputation on the line. And he couldn’t care less what people thought about him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The\u00a0birth\u00a0and\u00a0preparation\u00a0of our\u00a0Messiah\u00a0took\u00a0place through God speaking to ordinary people like you and I. All they did was believe and obey.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We ask the question;\u00a0do we know what God is speaking to our hearts\u00a0today? Believe Him, listen for the steps, and obey.\u00a0He is faithful to see it through! Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
