Luke 18:16 (NKJV) 16 But Jesus called them to Him and said, \u201cLet the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Most times, we teach our children\u00a0how to be responsible,<\/em>\u00a0but\u00a0we neglect to teach them how to be accountable<\/em>. Accountability\u00a0to\u00a0God is so important, even at such an early stage in life.<\/p>\n

Let’s\u00a0face it.\u00a0Mom and Dad can’t be everywhere.\u00a0But God can, and if we teach them to trust in Him and\u00a0go to Him for everything,\u00a0this will help them\u00a0throughout\u00a0their whole lives.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

How do we teach our kids about this? We start by\u00a0training them how to pray and to seek God for personal\u00a0answers for their\u00a0little\u00a0concerns they may have.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

They can learn at an early age how to pray for the right friends to be around. They can pray and ask God for help in making the right decisions\u00a0throughout\u00a0their day. Maybe they are struggling\u00a0in certain areas when it comes to\u00a0listening and doing what they are told. Or maybe they have an answer back for everything.<\/p>\n

They need to know what God says about this in His word and to listen to how He says to correct it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Kids are smart. They understand more than we realize. And sometimes they can fool us. Teaching them to be accountable, even at times when they may be trying to sneak one by us, will also cause them to have to deal with the conviction of their heavenly Daddy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It’s amazing how quickly they learn. You think they aren’t paying attention. But then out of the clear blue sky they’ll repeat something you shared with them or said to them at one time or another.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So don’t get discouraged, Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and teachers.\u00a0Keep it going! Teach them to have accountability with the One who will keep them safe from harm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
