Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV) 10 Then he said to them, \u201cGo your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We were praying for someone the other day who is battling a\u00a0disease. As we were praying for them, God showed us that they had lost their joy because of all that they were going through.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The devil will try so hard to steal our joy by\u00a0getting us to focus on our problems. If all we can see\u00a0before us\u00a0is\u00a0our problems\u00a0we will get depressed, angry\u00a0and discouraged.\u00a0And there is NO joy in any of those things.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We can walk around, smiling\u00a0and trying to fool people. But deep down, that will hurt us because that is\u00a0not the\u00a0joy that will give us the\u00a0strength\u00a0we need to get through\u00a0anything.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The joy of the Lord is a\u00a0tool\u00a0to conquer\u00a0whatever enemy we may be facing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This\u00a0Joy of the\u00a0Lord comes when we are\u00a0able to take what we\u00a0are going\u00a0through and\u00a0lay it at the foot of the cross. We give it all to Jesus, trusting that He will find\u00a0a way\u00a0to bring us through\u00a0as we continue to obey Him, and walk in the things He has for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This action on our part\u00a0will cause us to truly be happy and\u00a0light on the inside, because\u00a0we know Who is holding onto us. We know Who\u00a0is\u00a0taking care\u00a0of us. And we know His faithful! Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
