Matthew 13:7 (NKJV) 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As the sower continued to sow his seeds, there were some that fell on thorny ground.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The thorns in this verse represent the cares of this world, and the worldly riches that so many of us spend our lives seeking desperately after.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sadly, there are very many people who fall into this category. The world will offer us so much to hold our time and attention.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Careers, hobbies, personal vanity, material possessions, bigger homes, luxurious cars and a huge list of other things.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We can dawdle away our lives in search of these things, and if we’re not careful, our love for God gets pushed to the back burner. And before we know it, that love starts to falter and grow weaker.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Soon, if we’re not careful, that flame will smolder and go out. And we will have traded our destiny for wealth, material things and the attention of others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We can’t stress enough how important it is to guard our hearts and make God’s treasures our own.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
