(Gen 16:2 NKJV)\u00a0 So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.<\/p>\n
I suppose at the time that Sarai told Abraham this, she thought it was a good idea\u2026 a good way to either help God out or to make up for what she saw was God\u2019s lack of action.<\/p>\n
Have we ever done something like this? Have we ever gotten impatient with God and His timing and done something on our own because we just thought we needed to take care of it ourselves?<\/p>\n
I can guarantee you that any time we\u2019ve fallen into this trap and done things ourselves, instead of waiting on God when He has told us to wait, we\u2019ve wound up in more trouble than we were in to start with.<\/p>\n
Sometimes it can be hard to discern the voice of God and understand His timing completely, but as we draw closer to Him and begin to understand Him better, we\u2019re less likely to make the same kind of mistake that Sarai made. And believe it or not, the entire civilization of the world is still paying for Sarai\u2019s mistake, even today.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s wait on God\u2019s timing and learn how to make good decisions!<\/p>\n
