1 Kings 19:11-12 (NKJV) 11 Then He said, \u201cGo out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.\u201d And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s funny that we always seem to associate God with Big, booming, exciting things.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A loud voice from heaven, tremendous miracles that cause everyone to gasp or stand in awe, or any number of other similar things always seem to stand out to us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite what we think, though, God is most often found in the things that are easily missed. And the closer we draw to Him, the more easily we begin to recognize those small, subtle, quiet things.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Early morning quiet time, gentle whispers of reassurance, reminders of His love for us, that gentle knowing deep inside of us and seeing His word stand out to us when we read it are some of the things that we will begin to see and appreciate when we begin to press in and learn of Him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And while amazing, eye-catching miracles, and signs and wonders are incredible to behold, it is our relationship with Him that pulls us through from day to day, no matter what comes against us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Press into Him. Draw near to Him. Listen for that still small voice. And be in awe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
