1 John 4:19 (NKJV) 19 We love Him because He first loved us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As believers, we may sometimes go through seasons where we feel like we’re in a rut. No matter what we do, it all just feels like a routine, a ritual, a mechanical repetition of what we know how to do.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We may even start to doubt our faith, as we begin to lose touch with God and as His presence seems to wane.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When\u00a0this happens, the first thing we need to understand is that God has not gone anywhere. He is always near. He is always right where we left Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) 10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When we feel like this, it’s always something amiss on\u00a0our\u00a0end, not on His. It might be due to choices we’ve made. It might be due to things that have happened to us. It might be due to our lives being too busy. It might be due to many, many different things.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But there is one thing for sure, God never, ever leaves us. He is omnipotent, all powerful. He is omniscient, all-knowing. He is omnipresent, in all places at all times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Our spiritual fatigue isn’t due to overworking our spirit. It’s due to undernourishment of our spirit. It’s due\u00a0to lack of exercise for our spirit. It’s due\u00a0to lack of knowledge in our spirit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

And, ultimately, it\u00a0all comes down to one thing. We don’t fully understand or comprehend God’s love for us. If we did, we would never, ever struggle\u00a0again in our walk with Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Once we begin to understand His love for us, really understand it, we will begin to fall so deeply in love with Him that nothing will be able to pry us away from Him. In fact, we will develop a longing to be closer to Him than we could ever imagine.<\/p>\n

Our faith will grow. Our desire to pull closer and closer to Him will grow. And whatever doubts we have will slowly fade away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If our spirit is hungry for Him, we need to feed it. But not with religion and tradition. We need to feed it with Him.\u00a0His word. His presence. His joy.\u00a0Giving Him thanks. And showing Him gratefulness for all that He has done for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Amen<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
