Isaiah 53:5-6 (NKJV) 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another\u00a0word\u00a0for iniquity is sin. He took the rap for all our sin. He was\u00a0bruised, whipped and mocked. He was\u00a0beaten beyond recognition and nailed to a cross.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Who would\u00a0do this for us?\u00a0\u00a0Who\u00a0would ever put us before their own needs and desires? Jesus Christ, the\u00a0Son of God. A Man that was born of a virgin.<\/p>\n

Even though\u00a0He\u00a0was the Son of the\u00a0Most High\u00a0God, He still felt pain, He still had emotions and He still wept, like we do. His heart ached at different times and He felt loneliness, just like us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I overlooked these things as a child and just took it for granted, that because He was God’s Son, God protected Him from the pain of the crucifixion. I had it in my head that He could do what He did for me with no problem. I neglected to realize and understand that He was still a Man of flesh, just like us.<\/p>\n

He felt it all. Don’t think He didn’t. He felt the stripes. He felt the nails. He didn’t get away with anything because of being the Son of God. What this man did for each one of us\u00a0was priceless. It was beyond our human understanding of love.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What does He ask for in return? He asks for us to receive Him and His\u00a0love. And to love others like He loves us.<\/p>\n

His love changes hard\u00a0hearts and makes them soft and new. His love brings life!<\/p>\n

John 13:34-35 (NKJV) 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Thank\u00a0you, Jesus,\u00a0for what you did for us. We are ever so grateful and humbled!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
