Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Sometimes the people who appear to be the strongest may not be very strong at all. Strength doesn’t only come physically. We may be very strong and able to lift a lot of weight, but that is only one type of strength.<\/p>\n

There is a strength that will rock our world if we get a hold of it. It’s called obedience.<\/p>\n

Obedience is a type of strength that is very often overlooked.<\/p>\n

Lifting large amounts of\u00a0weight can be done simply by training for it and reaching a goal. But, walking in obedience requires constant discipline,\u00a0listening and surrendering. That is strength!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

If we can listen to Someone when we are feeling like doing the\u00a0opposite, and\u00a0take what they are saying and do it, when everything else in\u00a0us\u00a0is saying no, that takes strength.<\/p>\n

When we endeavor to be obedient, we are\u00a0fighting the\u00a0hardest\u00a0thing in life to\u00a0fight; our will. If our will had muscles and we could see them, it would look like a champion bodybuilder. Our will is HUGE!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

That’s right. Our will will be the hardest thing in life to fight and gain victory over.<\/p>\n

We can’t give in\u00a0to it. Rather, we need to listen to what God <\/em>is telling us to do over\u00a0what our will is saying.<\/p>\n

We are strong in Him. And let me tell you that <\/em>is pretty strong!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
