John 8:2-5 (NKJV) 2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, \u201cTeacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery. In the day of Moses, the law commanded that she should be stoned to death for this.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The Scribes and Pharisees wanted to see how Jesus <\/em>would react to this situation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Jesus’ reaction was not what they had expected. And many\u00a0times,\u00a0in our own personal walk with\u00a0Him, His\u00a0reaction to things may not be what we thought it would be.<\/p>\n

That is why we must go to Him and get His advice and wisdom before we make our decisions. He may have a different outlook on things and a different answer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

When they brought this situation before Jesus, what did He do? He made them look at themselves <\/em>first.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

John 8:7 (NKJV) 7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, \u201cHe who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This is a good lesson for all of us. It will teach us to take a look at ourselves <\/em>before we begin pointing fingers at others for their<\/em> sins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

No one threw\u00a0a\u00a0stone at\u00a0this woman. One by one, they all walked away. We should do the same. Walk away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
