Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV) 18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Keeping pride\u00a0out of our life is a constant battle.\u00a0We have to be watching ourselves on a regular basis.<\/p>\n

There are so many ways we can become\u00a0prideful. We can be prideful about having a nice car, having well-behaved, smart children, having a large home or material wealth. We can be prideful about wearing name brand clothes, our position or our title, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There are so many things that can <\/em>make us prideful, but it doesn’t mean we have <\/em>to be.<\/p>\n

How do we fight this and win?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The first step is being aware of the fact that pride is\u00a0lurking and\u00a0wanting to take over. The second step is to keep a close eye on our attitude toward certain people and situations. The third step is\u00a0to address <\/em>our behavior or attitude if we start seeing signs of pride,\u00a0even if it seems small and\u00a0insignificant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Pride of any type should not have a place in any of us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
