Matthew 6:27 (NKJV) 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature<\/span>?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We teach about worrying pretty frequently. Why? Because understanding this is a critical component of our walk with God.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As we’ve walked through various trials over the years, God has shown us what worrying does<\/em>, and what it is<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

First, worrying wastes precious time and energy. It’s also bad for our health, causing high blood pressure, stress, headaches and numerous other ill benefits.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

More importantly, though, worrying is an outward sign of inward doubting. And that doubting stems from not having complete trust in God and His ability to care for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Matthew 6:26 (NKJV) 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they<\/span>?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Some might say that telling people that worrying shows a lack of faith is too harsh. But even Jesus <\/em>taught that worrying shows a lack of faith in our heavenly Father, and His ability to care for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Matthew 6:30 (NKJV) 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith<\/span>?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So it would benefit us greatly if we would heed His words and learn to trust God when storms and trials come our way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Is it easy? No. Especially not at first. But as we begin to trust Him with little things, then we can learn to trust Him with bigger things. And before we know it, we will find ourselves pushing through some pretty tough seasons with barely a concern on our mind, because we know that He is ultimately in control.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So we encourage you today to trust Him in everything; the little things and the big things.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He will never, ever let you down.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
