1 Samuel 17:33 (NKJV) 33 And Saul said to David, \u201cYou are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Have we ever been told we can\u2019t do something, but deep down inside we had a feeling that we could, if we were just given the chance?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

There are times in our lives that we may hear\u00a0this\u00a0very same thing. And it is up to us to discern if what we are hearing is for us to take, or to leave and push forward anyway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

In David\u2019s case, he was ready and prepared to do whatever\u00a0it took to win. His heart was close to God. God had delivered\u00a0David\u00a0from lions and bears. He knew that this same God would deliver Him from a Philistine giant as well.\u00a0Why?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Because David\u2019s trust was not in himself, but rather\u00a0in the name of His Lord!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

1 Samuel 17:45 (NKJV) 45 Then David said to the Philistine, \u201cYou come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

What giant are we dealing with today? We may hear that we can\u2019t beat it. It\u2019s too big for us. It\u2019s there for life. But, just as David went into this battle trusting in the Lord, we too need to make that our priority.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Don\u2019t be afraid of what we are facing. Call on the name of the Lord and trust Him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We may be too weak on our own, but with the wisdom, strength and\u00a0knowledge\u00a0of God, we will be made strong!<\/p>\n

Psalm 105:24 (NKJV) 24 He increased His people greatly, And made them stronger than their enemies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
