Psalm 34:17 (NKJV) 17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,\u00a0And\u00a0delivers them out of all their troubles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Are we willing to let God show us how to do things?<\/p>\n

When we turn everything over to Him and we say, \u201cLord, have it.\u201d we are saying, “we are done trying to figure it out. We are at the end of our rope and there is no way we can keep going like this”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

God will then take steps to show us how to make things right and get us up and going again. But, most times\u00a0it\u00a0will be in a way that we would have never expected.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A lot of times when we have reached this point or place, we are ready for just about anything. We will be excited and at peace all at the same time, because we will begin to see God\u2019s hand move.<\/p>\n

We will see things begin to change in our situation and we will be OK with it all, because most times we are at rock bottom or at wits end when we reach this place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

During this time and season of our lives, despite the storm happening around us, we will usually be more at peace than we have ever been. And we will wonder why we waited so long before letting God “have the wheel”, so to speak.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

But, it’s important to know that there is a step we must take in order to get to this point.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Most people don\u2019t want to hear about the step we are about to talk about, and many times that is why they are still in the same boat. They will usually sigh, walk away, ignore or pretend they didn\u2019t hear it. Or they will take the easy way out and say, \u201cwell,\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0not in a position to do this yet, but when I get there, that will be the first thing I\u2019ll do”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This step we’re talking about is in the book of Malachi. It starts with an action word, \u201cBRING!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Malachi 3:10 (NKJV) 10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,\u00a0that there may be food in My house,\u00a0And\u00a0try Me now in this,\u201d Says the Lord of hosts, \u201cIf I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I will never forget the day I saw that. I was sitting at my desk with our bills sitting in front of me, and I thought “HOW, God?”.<\/p>\n

How do we bring our tithes to you with all of these bills in front of me that need to be paid?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

We knew we had to make a choice.<\/p>\n

This was a serious decision that could make or break us. We were in financial distress, and God was telling us to “bring”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Would we give to God or hold back and wait for a more convenient time?<\/p>\n

But, I took my pen, and before I wrote out any checks for our bills, I paid God first.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Making that choice, as hard as it was, allowed God to begin showing us how to walk by faith, even in our finances.<\/p>\n

We are praying that God will help you<\/em> make the right decision also. Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
