1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I was sitting in the dentist office one day recently and the dentist was sharing how she had lost her grandfather. He\u00a0had just left his house and was in an accident. He never returned home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

She said, “I don\u2019t mean to sound morbid, but ever since I learned of what happened to him, I never leave home without saying good bye and I love you, because we just don\u2019t know”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I have no idea how we even got on that subject. But, I\u00a0thought\u00a0about it and realized that it\u2019s the things we go through that impact us the most. Whether good or bad, we can learn something very valuable at times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Instead of her getting hard, bitter and unforgiving, she chose to take something good from\u00a0it. She chose to make sure the ones she cares about know she loves them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This may seem like a very small detail because most of us say goodbye when we are leaving. But, the “I love you” part is what\u00a0hit\u00a0me. Many of us just take it for granted that they already know. Or we might even think that that they don’t need to hear it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Let\u2019s not wait until they are gone and then regret not telling them how we felt about them, how\u00a0much we appreciate them and care about them. Be\u00a0sure to take the time and make it known.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

It\u2019s those little words and the show of affection that are so comforting and mean so much for both sides.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
