1 Peter 4:8 (NKJV) 8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for \u201clove will cover a multitude of sins.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

As I read this verse, I asked myself, “what is fervent love?”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Here’s what I discovered.<\/p>\n

Showing great warmth. Intensity of spirit, feeling,\u00a0enthusiasm\u00a0etc. Ardent. Having, expressive of, or characterized by intense feeling; passionate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

This kind of love is what we are to learn to have toward one another. This love that Peter is talking about is a love that works. It is a love that conquers and covers a lot of sin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

How many of us today would love to have someone love us like\u00a0this? Well, we do! His name is Jesus Christ. He is so passionate about us, He gave all He had; His life. No one else has ever done what He has done for us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

He wants us to love others, here, right where we are at,\u00a0the way He loves us; with a\u00a0fervent\u00a0love.<\/p>\n

Some of us may say\u00a0today,\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t know how to love. I was abused, I\u2019ve lost my love and my heart is wounded from it”.<\/p>\n

God wants to heal\u00a0that\u00a0brokenness and restore your ability to love. Just open your heart up to Him again. He will heal it and make things right,\u00a0so we can\u00a0love\u00a0again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Dear God in Heaven,<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

I come to You this day and say, I\u2019m sorry. I admit, I have been closed up for quite some time now. I have been hurt and my heart aches at times so badly. I don\u2019t know this love that You speak of. Please help me, heal me and take away my pain. I want to love again. In the name of Jesus Christ, help me, Lord, to love like this. Amen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

God is moving. He wants a people that will love.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
