Bible Verse of The Day – 7-20-26

Psalm 19:1 (NKJV) 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.

On a recent Saturday evening, we were sitting in our backyard watching the sun as it descended in the Western sky.

The cloud cover was plentiful, but there were also openings that were allowing the sunlight to break through as the sun sank lower.

The display of color as each minute passed was breathtaking as it changed from subtle hues to vibrant orange, pink, and purple.

It was so incredibly beautiful we didn’t want to look away for more than a second or two for fear of missing it.

We see these same incredibly beautiful sunsets when we are on a local lake, fishing as the day winds down.

We want badly to continue to cast, with the hopes that we can catch one last big bass before we quit for the evening. But the beauty of the sunset keeps vying for our attention, distracting us from fishing!

Now, you may be wondering, “why all this talk about sunsets?” Isn’t this supposed to be a Bible devotional?

Well, it is! It is a devotional giving glory to God for the incredible beauty of His creation ❤️

You see, no matter how hard a person might try, they cannot escape that beauty and the evidence of who God is.

His incredible beauty is everywhere. There is no denying it.

So, we share all this to remind you and encourage you to behold it every chance you get.

Soak it in. Absorb it. And thank Him for it every day.

It speaks volumes as to who He is, and His great sovereignty over all things.
