Bible Verse of The Day – 2-19-22

Mark 3:24 (NKJV) 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

The devil, our enemy, works extra hard to bring division. Whether in the home, marriage, church or in our country, he will try.

If we are against each other, things fall apart. Why? Because we are weakened by division.

When we see division setting in, we must pray that God will bring unity.

Unity is the state of oneness, a way in which diverse parts combine so that they belong and work together harmoniously.

Harmoniously. What a beautiful word and what beauty it brings as we move in it together.

God’s word teaches us to be in unity, because in unity there is growth, oneness and strength! No matter the attack against us, being united will give us the strength to get through it or to fight it off.

Who keeps us unified? God’s Spirit moving in us keeps us together. He keeps us in check, accountable, and ready to receive clarity, wisdom and direction.

1 Corinthians 1:10 (NKJV) 10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Stay together.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-3-18

John 15:5 (NKJV) 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

We would like to say thank you to you all for helping us obey the call of God on our lives. We could not do our part if you didn’t do yours. We are a team.

The funny thing is that God built this team. It was not conceived of natural origins.

Most of you probably have no idea how or why you came in contact with My Bible Verse of The Day or Seven Seas Ministries. We hear it all the time when we ask, “how did you find us?” Most people say, “Boy, I really don’t know how I stumbled onto you”.

Maybe you were just poking around on the internet. Maybe you just typed in something and up we came. Maybe a friend shared it with you. Or perhaps you just spotted it somewhere and started to read.

Nevertheless, here you are. Every day you receive a live, spirit-filled word right to your inbox.

Isn’t God good?! He knows what we need and when we need it.

We are in awe of what God is doing. Every day we stand in agreement with Him, that His will be done in your life, your family, your job, your marriage, your finances, your health, your ministry and for His protection over you all.

Most of you we have never come face to face with, yet. This is more of a Spiritual, divine appointment. It’s a supernatural connection, and it’s beautiful.

That is how it happens here. We are excited that we are not alone, that you are our friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. You have chosen to stand with us.

You are there because God directed your steps and you obeyed. And together we are learning and growing.

There is nothing we can teach or share that the Father has not already walked us through. We are truly nothing without Him! Amen.

He is restoring, delivering, saving. He is moving, breathing and changing all of us, from the inside, out.

We truly appreciate you. You are God-sent to us and you are making a difference in this world as you keep pressing in to Him.

We love you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-27-17

1 Corinthians 12:12 (NKJV) 12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

Each of us, as members of the body of Christ, has a different function.

The human body has many parts. They all function together, in unity, to accomplish a purpose; to keep us alive and healthy.

And so as the human body functions as many parts, working together in unity, so must the body of Christ function together in unity, as one, to keep the body alive.

We’ve taught on this topic in the past with regard to denominations. But today we want to touch base on it from a slightly different point of view.

It’s imperative that we understand who we are in Christ. And it’s important that we are secure in that, so the enemy doesn’t sway us or discourage us from being who God has made us to be.

Each of us has gifts and callings that have been given by God. And each of those gifts and callings is unique to us. It’s part of who God made us to be. I can’t operate in your gift. You can’t operate in mine. And nobody else can operate in yours or mine. It’s just the way it is.

There is great danger in trying to make others fit into our mold, just as there is great danger in others trying to make us fit into their mold. Yes, there are many things we will work in unity toward, with a common goal and objective; advancing and enlarging the kingdom of God.

But the second we start trying to make others walk in our gift and tread on the path God has set before us, we are on the road to trouble. And the second others start trying to make us walk in their gift and follow the path that God has set before them, we are in trouble.

If the heart tells the lungs it doesn’t need them, the body will die. If the liver tells the kidneys that they are no good because they are not like it, the body will begin to die. If the spleen tells the stomach that it needs to function the same way it does, somebody is in big trouble.

There is no place for exclusivity or elitism in the body of Christ. It’s time to put an end to looking down our noses at each other because of differences in how God made us and is using us.

We are one in Christ. His blood was shed for each and every one of us. And as we learn to accept each other and move together as one, we will defeat the enemy and bring victory to the earth in the form of God’s kingdom.

And we will do it in the way God has ordained, not by dividing the body.

Mark 3:24 (NKJV) 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

We love each and every one of you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-19-16

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 (NKJV) 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Our countries need help. Where we live, in the USA, our country is in a sick state. We need healing, restoration and revival. We need to get back on our feet again. It will take work, but we are not alone. Your country may be in the same place or even worse off.

This kind of change comes as we join together and pray. As we take notice of the things going on around us and we begin to rebuke the evil, and pray in the good, it will happen one step at a time.

It’s not hard to do. God gave us the power and the authority to do it. This power and authority comes through one Man; His name is Jesus Christ.

The power of His name will break every chain and every bit of evil! The power of His name is all we need.

We start by watching and listening to things going on right in front of us. That means in our homes, in our church, in our workplace, in our schools, in our town, in our state and in our country. And we move accordingly.

As the Holy Spirit guides us, we take it to prayer. Wherever we put down our feet we listen, watch and pray.

We can come together without ever being in the same room with each other. We come together through prayer in the Holy Spirit! That is where we find unity.

Take an interest in where you live. Know what is going on in your area and pray for Godly change. We are in this ARMY together.

Thank God for the change coming to where we live. And together we celebrate the victory! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-1-16

1 Corinthians 12:14-18 (NKJV) 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.

Just as each part of our human body plays a significant role in being able to function as a whole person, so do the different parts in the body of Christ play a significant role in reaching the world.

Even in the body of Christ, we have our uniqueness; our strong areas, our weak areas, etc.

Consider a few of the different denominations.

I was saved and baptized in one denomination. In another denomination, I grew strong in other areas of my walk with God. Yet, in another denomination I grew even more strong and closer to God.

Each denomination taught me some very important things, helping me to have a wonderful relationship with Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. I’m so grateful for each one of them.

It’s not wrong for people to belong to different denominations as long as they are biblically correct in their teachings. We can grow and learn, taking good things from each one of them.

I remember as a child, if you dared to go to another denomination, you were looked down on. Why?

I remember a pastor saying to me one time, when I had left his church to begin attending another one, “I won’t be back to visit you and don’t come around my people.”

We have to rise above this kind of behavior if we want to reach the world for Christ!

Each denomination has their strengths and operates in them. We can not frown or look down at others because they don’t do things the way we do them.

If we see that some things are wrong or misleading, pray for them. Ask God to help them find the truth.

Sometimes we see things go wrong and we immediately have a negative attitude toward the situation.

No one is perfect. Not a church, no pastor, no priest, no evangelist, and NO Christian, etc. There is always going to be room for learning and growing no matter who we are and what we’ve been taught.

The body of Christ needs to come together through prayer, love, and compassion for each other.

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-18-15

Psalm 133:1 (NKJV) 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Sometimes going through trials, whether it’s a family, workplace, church group, etc., can bring out some ugly stuff with those involved.

We may see things about a person we have never seen before. We have to be careful it doesn’t cause us to fall prey also, by saying things or doing things out of tiredness, sensitivity, or emotions.

Hard times and life’s challenges can cause us to split up at times, if we are not careful. We get so focused, wanting to fix the main “PROBLEM” that we can cause another one.

Our minds forget the One important thing that God says is good and pleasant. That is, staying together, especially in times like these.

It can be very hard, depending on how close the trial hits to home.

Holding our tongue, respecting and listening to what others have to say, and getting rest, whenever possible, can be very helpful during these kinds of times.

In times like these, we need to focus on holding together so that we may be able to see the problem through to the end. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-23-15

Psalm 133:1 (NKJV) 133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Yesterday, while we were out picking up some groceries, we met up with another Pastor in the store. We have met him in passing a few times, but never to really talk with.

We stood in the aisle of the grocery store yesterday and introduced ourselves and talked for a little while.

Even though we were from different denominations, one of the things we had in common was that we serve Jesus Christ.

Before we left, we asked him if there was anything we could be praying for him for. We exchanged cards, agreed to pray for each other, and if we needed anything to get in touch with each other.

We left the store and later that day we headed over to drop off some groceries to a family that has been struggling. When we got there, they had told us that the Pastor we were talking to in the grocery store had just been there and had dropped off some groceries as well. Neither one of us knew the other was going there.

That family was double blessed!!

God’s Spirit moved through both Pastors, despite our denominational differences, to help the same family out.

Let’s lay down our differences today. If the other person isn’t willing to do it first, then we should take the first step. Whether it’s denominational differences, ethnic differences, family/spouse differences, even business differences, etc., we need to lay them down.

God’s Spirit can move when there is unity.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-3-14

(Acts 2:1-2 NKJV)  When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. {2} And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Being in one accord means to be in agreement. When they came together, they were in One accord. They were all in agreement with what God wanted to do. It was then that the Holy Spirit came upon them.

We, the church, must be in agreement this day. Not for what we want to happen or what we think needs to happen, but in agreement with God and what He wants done.

We need to come together, believing and praying for God to help us make a difference right where we’re at. The Holy Spirit is who leads us and gives us strength, wisdom, understanding and boldness to do what God wants us to do.

Where do we start? (John 14:26 NKJV)  “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Be in agreement with God. Receiving the Holy Spirit as our Helper is what will lead us and help us do the impossible and get the job done.

It’s the Holy Spirit who helps us to help those in the town we live in, the place where we go to work each day, the place we go to school, etc.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us. He will show us what is missing, what is needed, what is going on in the area that we are in and what will help it.

Prayer first is so important! Sometimes we get going, doing our own thing and we exhaust ourselves and run out of energy before the work is done. Let God be in charge of what we do by being Holy Spirit-empowered. How do we do this? By asking the Holy Spirit to be our Helper and guide.

Let us be in one accord, receiving the Holy Spirit and going after this world together, filled with God’s power, strength, wisdom, understanding and boldness.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-3-14

(Matthew 18:20 NKJV)  “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Togetherness brings Jesus closer.

Let us stand in the gap today for those in trouble.  We all know, whether it’s ourselves or someone else, every one of us needs Salvation.

Christ came to save the world; not just a little corner or piece of it, but the WHOLE world. He came to save that person that causes us to get irritated and want to run the other way when we see them.

He came to save the homeless person that may think they are worthless, the child that is always getting into trouble, the sister or brother that keeps purposely looking for a fight.

Christ came for that person that is suffering from hunger, and others who are being abused physically, mentally and sexually. We all are the apple of His eye and He wants us in His arms.

Let us gather together today, all over this world, praying and lifting them up, believing for His will to be done in their situation; for salvation, deliverance, healing and freedom to come in the name of Jesus Christ, to touch each heart today, drawing them closer to Him! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-21-13

1 Thessalonians 1:2 (NKJV) We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers…

You are loved and appreciated.

There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t stop and take the time to thank God for you, our faithful readers.

Even as so many of you have sent us emails, thanking us for what we do, those very words that you have sent are a big encouragement to us.

So, from the very bottom of our hearts, we thank you for being a part of what God has called us to do, and we pray for His blessings over your lives.

Please pray for us also. We are truly grateful.
