Joel 2:23 (NKJV) 23 Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.
He will cause the rain to “come down.”
In life, we will all experience seasons of “drought”. Symbolically speaking, hard and emotional stress.
Jesus knows what this feels like. He experienced deep emotional and physical distress in the Garden of Gethsemane.
For Him, it was facing the cross.
For us, It could be financial hardship, loss of a loved one, emotional burnout, severe sickness, etc.
Right where you are today, raise your voice to Him and rejoice. Know today that the former rain and latter rain shall come down on your situation.
Maybe your rain is a dose of JOY!
Maybe it’s a warm feeling of being loved and knowing you’re not alone
Maybe you need to be comforted.
Or maybe your rain is represented by a light you need at the end of the tunnel you feel you’re in.
Rejoice in the Lord your God. He is faithful!
