Bible Verse of The Day – 4-4-26

Psalm 100:5 (NKJV) 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

Maybe we are in a season of our lives where it is hard to be happy about anything.

But we don’t have to be in a good place to let loose and praise God. We can praise Him simply because of who He is!

We can start by knowing He is good!

Hebrew word for good is Tob. Meaning, pleasant, desirable, beneficial, and righteous.

The Greek word for good, agathos, means upright, honorable,  and virtuous. Also Greek, agathosune, zeal for truth and righteousness, involving sternness to oppose evil.

Breaking down the word, good, shows us God’s character. He is all of this and more; the ultimate standard of goodness!

David speaks of His mercy being everlasting.

His mercy is available continuously as we come to Him and repent. It’s not based on our actions, or the things we have done wrong. Thank the good Lord!

David also says, He’s truth endures to all generations; it is not temporary. It is for all of God’s people, past, present, and future.

No one will be excluded as we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Praise doesn’t come from where we are in our life. It comes from an inward knowing of Who He is, and letting it out!
