Psalm 24:8 (LSB) 8 Who is this King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle.
As of late, I have been walking through a very contemplative season in my life. It is causing me to reflect frequently on the goodness and the sovereignty of God.
It has also caused me to stop and examine many things about life.
Why do I share this?
Clearly not to draw attention to myself in any way at all.
But rather, with the hope that it might cause you to contemplate the fragility and brevity of life, and reconcile that with your relationship with God, that you may evaluate it and make adjustments, if necessary, pertinent to the strength of that relationship and the current stage of your life.
Our relationship with God is not/should not be static. It should be dynamic and alive, moving, and growing over time.
We should always be willing to adjust, when necessary, to keep that relationship sharp and burning brightly.
And we should never take our focus off Who we serve and worship; the King of glory, Yahweh strong and mighty, the Lord, God, Creator of everything.
I urge you today to consider the ramifications of this; the fact that your eternal destiny lies in the hands of the state of this relationship with God.
Knowing this, it should be easy to put all necessary effort into making that relationship strong and fireproof.
But the pull of the world, and the things of it, can be strong; stronger than some people might expect or be prepared to fend off.
And regarding this, I encourage you today to keep yourself always prepared, not only to recognize the tactics of the enemy, but to do what is necessary to stand against the wiles of that enemy, guarding your soul for the sake of eternity.
Ephesians 6:11 (LSB) 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
We love you all 🙏🏻
