Ecclesiastes 1:18 (NKJV) 18 For in much wisdom is much grief, And he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.
Just the other day, as we were having a conversation, I mentioned that the more I learn and see in this world, the more sorrow and sadness I have.
Being naive to things keeps us in a place of ignorance. It keeps us in denial of reality. It can keep us captive to the illusion of a false comfort zone.
Yes, as we gain wisdom, It may cause a sense of sorrow and bring discouragement.
But remember, Joy comes in the morning. We must hold onto hope, which is found in Jesus Christ!
Nehemiah 8:10 says, it is the joy of the Lord that is our strength. So continue to lean on and trust in Him.
Communicate with Him daily, expressing in prayer the concerns we may have; don’t carry the weight of the world. Leave it at His feet.
What brings us joy?
It is Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and His promises throughout His word.
We must keep our eyes and our focus on Him 🙏🏻
Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV) 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Amen.
