Micah 6:8 (LSB) 8 He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does Yahweh require of you But to do justice, to love lovingkindness, And to walk humbly with your God?
What does God require of us?
That’s a good question. It’s one that we should ask ourselves from time to time.
And it’s one that we need to understand if we are to walk out our lives in the way that God desires and commands us to do.
This verse is practically a “here is what God wants of me” answer in a very short statement.
He wants us to live justly; do what is right.
To love lovingkindness; sincerely and wholeheartedly practice kindness, mercy, and compassion toward others with the heart of Christ.
And to walk humbly before our God; setting our pride and ego aside, not thinking more highly of ourselves than we should, giving God preference in everything, allowing Him to lead, guide, and shape our lives.
These are of the utmost importance for each of us to heed and walk out, obeying God and glorifying Him with our lives in all that we do 🙏🏻
