Bible Verse of The Day – 4-10-19

2 Corinthians 8:15 (NKJV) 15 As it is written, “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.”

When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, he was dealing with a massive multitude of people! Most estimates put that number at well over 2 million people. Feeding them would be no small feat.

But God had promised to take care of them, supplying their food for them each day. He did this by supplying them with manna. The manna would fall from the sky at night, while they were asleep. In the morning, they would go out and gather what they needed.

God had given them very specific instructions about how much to gather; only enough to feed their family.

This was a test for them. Would they trust God and gather only what they needed? Or would they disobey God’s instructions and hoard the manna, saving some just in case God didn’t come through?

The thing is that God was already prepared for them, no matter which path they chose to take in this. He’s God, so He knew what some of them would do before they ever did it.

The verse above says that those who gathered much had no surplus. And those who gathered little had no lack.

So, the people who thought maybe they could gather up extra and cover themselves, just in case God didn’t come through, ended up with no extra. But those who trusted God and gathered only a little never came up short!

You see, God is a great equalizer. When we trust Him, He will take care of us. It’s just the way He operates. If we are diligent in putting Him first and trusting Him with everything, He has these incredible ways of working things out for us.

If we fail to trust in Him, He isn’t sitting in heaven waiting to strike us down. But it’s safe to say that we may not end up as well off as we wanted to believe that we would.

Psalm 37:3 (NKJV) 3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-13-18

Philippians 1:21 (NKJV) 21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Being comfortable and staying in a place is OK, as long as we know we are in the right place.

In that comfortable place there may come a time when God says, “it’s time to move on”. Sometimes we might be so comfortable that we may not listen to His voice or heed His tug on our hearts.

Other times, it may not be so comfortable in a place and we may want to move on. But God may say, “stay”. He may want to use us in that place.

He has chosen us, and we must push aside our feelings and the fact that it is uncomfortable and stay, in spite of how we feel or what is taking place.

This is not easy to do.

We had to stay in a place one time where we knew we were not wanted by specific people. But, God wanted us there. And in the end, after all we went through, we were chosen to lead for a season when things were very difficult.

We learned a lot of things during that uncomfortable season. We learned to push back the flesh and all of its crying, whining, kicking and screaming, and be where God could use us.

Don’t despise uncomfortable situations. God is in them too. And there is a lot to be learned about others and our own selves during those times.

This is all part of growing and maturing in Christ, staying where God needs us to stay, moving on when God wants us to move on, in spite of our own desires.

There comes a time to learn that it’s not about us anymore. We live for Christ and die to ourselves.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-1-18

John 15:9 (NKJV) 9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.

The Father and Son had a very good relationship. They were so close to each other that the Son did everything His Father showed Him.

That’s the way it should be with us, as we grow in the things of God, that we aren’t just readers of His word, but doers as well.

James 1:22 (NKJV) 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

We need to take what His word teaches us to do and follow the example set for us. Some things will be easy for us. Some things will be very hard.

We may want to try to push off the hard things and focus on the easier things, those things that come natural to us. They don’t require as much effort to follow through on.

We can’t let ourselves get stuck on just doing the things we are comfortable doing. Every once in a while, as the Holy Spirit leads us, we need to mix it up and try something that may be hard or a little uncomfortable.

In those times, it’s important to ask the Holy Spirit to help us wherever we may be lacking.

When we love someone, we will find ourselves wanting to obey them even more.

John 14:15 (NKJV) 15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-24-18

Numbers 20:7-8 (NKJV) 7 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 8 “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water;

Moses was under intense pressure from the Israelites to provide them with water. The people were angry for being led into the wilderness, and they were now thirsty, as were their animals.

So, Moses and Aaron left the people and fell on their faces at the door of the tabernacle, seeking God and asking Him to help them in their situation.

God, in His faithfulness, appeared to them and instructed Moses to pick up his staff, go to the people and bring them to a rock. At that rock, Moses was instructed to speak to the rock, and water would flow out of it.

So Moses gathered the people and went to the rock, as God had told him to do.

But here’s where Moses got himself into trouble. Instead of speaking to the rock and bringing honor to God, he raised his staff and struck the rock, twice. Despite the error on the part of Moses, God caused water to flow from the rock.

Numbers 20:11 (NKJV) 11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.

But God held Moses accountable for his disobedience, and there was a price to pay for it. Neither he nor Aaron would enter into the land of promise.

Numbers 20:12 (NKJV) 12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

It’s critical that we not get hung up on how God has done something for us in the past and try to force Him to do it the same way next time around. God is very specific in His instructions to us, and He wants us to follow them.

We may not always understand why He wants this, but it’s very important, nonetheless, that we do what He wants, the way He wants it done. Not doing so can be costly for us in many different ways.

Several years ago, we heard God tell us something. We thought that it couldn’t possibly be God telling us this thing. It just didn’t make sense. So, we didn’t do what we thought we heard.

We found out later on that not doing so had cost us a lot of money. God helped us overcome it, in only the way that God can. But it was still very costly for us.

Obedience is always best.

Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

God is very specific when He gives us instructions. When he asks us to do something, He will usually tell us how He wants it done. So it’s important that we follow His instructions.

Our newest video discusses this, using Moses as an example.

It is recorded twice in the Old Testament that God used Moses to supply water to the Israelites. Both times, God told Moses exactly how He wanted it done.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-29-18 – Are We Tying God’s Hands?

Please click to watch the video.Greetings in Jesus’ name!

Our God is all-powerful, able to do anything He wants to do. He created us. And He created everything we see around us.

But did you know that it’s possible for us to tie God’s hands? Even as we ask Him to do things for us, we can also prevent Him from doing those very things that we’re asking Him to do. This is the topic of our latest video.

Please click here to watch the video now.

The actions that we take, or fail to take, can limit what God will do for us. This happens when we fail to obey Him. But many people don’t realize this, which causes them to fail to get the breakthrough they’re looking for, time after time.

Please click here to watch the video now.

So, it’s important that we hear what God tells us to do and then we actually do it!

We hope you enjoy this new video and it helps you get your breakthrough.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-9-18

John 12:26 (NKJV) 26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

Jesus is saying here, “if anyone serves Me, let him follow Me”.

Part of being a good servant is following Jesus. So, when we obey Him and we do the things He asks us to do in His word, we are serving Him. And when we do this, His Father, God Almighty, watches and He will honor us for it.

What a beautiful relationship we can have as we receive and follow Christ.

Jesus is not hard to love. Look at everything He is. Loving, kind, compassionate, faithful, sincere, forgiving! He heals, He delivers, He gives us eternal life, etc. What other person in our life will be all of this for us?

Following Jesus can be hard if we don’t truly want to surrender in certain areas of our life. But if we do surrender, it can be easy.

Matthew 11:30 (NKJV) 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Bible Verse of The Day – 5-2-18

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Sometimes the people who appear to be the strongest may not be very strong at all. Strength doesn’t only come physically. We may be very strong and able to lift a lot of weight, but that is only one type of strength.

There is a strength that will rock our world if we get a hold of it. It’s called obedience.

Obedience is a type of strength that is very often overlooked.

Lifting large amounts of weight can be done simply by training for it and reaching a goal. But, walking in obedience requires constant discipline, listening and surrendering. That is strength!

If we can listen to Someone when we are feeling like doing the opposite, and take what they are saying and do it, when everything else in us is saying no, that takes strength.

When we endeavor to be obedient, we are fighting the hardest thing in life to fight; our will. If our will had muscles and we could see them, it would look like a champion bodybuilder. Our will is HUGE!

That’s right. Our will will be the hardest thing in life to fight and gain victory over.

We can’t give in to it. Rather, we need to listen to what God is telling us to do over what our will is saying.

We are strong in Him. And let me tell you that is pretty strong!

Bible Verse of The Day – Walk On The Water – 4-8-18

Greetings in the name of Jesus,

We hope you are enjoying your day.

The apostle Peter was a special breed of person. He was bold, he was outspoken. And yet he was also the one who denied Jesus while under pressure.

Today’s video talks about one of Peter’s moments of victory, as he got out of the boat and walked on the water.

Please click here to watch the video now.

As believers, we’d like to think that we would have the same faith as Peter, allowing us to walk on water each and every day of our lives.

And do you know what? That’s exactly how God wants us to live, having that very same faith.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Life puts us to the test each and every day. We’re up, and then we’re down. One minute we’re walking on the water, and the next we’re crying out for Jesus to keep us from drowning.

We hope today’s video will give you some new insight on how to spend more time on top of the water than sinking under it.

Stay close to God in all things.

Bible Verse of The Day – Beating The System – 4-1-18

Greetings in the name of Jesus,

We hope you’re celebrating the resurrection of our precious savior, Jesus Christ!

We just published our newest video, called Beating The System. And while it has nothing to do with the resurrection of Jesus, it has everything to do with our walk with Him.

Please click here to watch the video now.

Many people, including believers, come up with all kinds of creative ways to beat the system; sidestep laws, pay less taxes, ignore certain parts of God’s word, etc.

In the video for today, we talk about this, and what kind of impact it has on our lives as believers.

Please click here to watch the video now.

God has some very specific things to say about the things we do and how we live. So, we hope you’ll take a few minutes and watch it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-29-17

1 Samuel 15:22 (NKJV) 22 So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.

Sometimes we may feel obligated to enter into a position we’ve been asked to volunteer for, even when we know it’s not for us. We can feel pressured into something, which can cause us to give in and do it anyway, even though we know in our heart that it’s not something we should do.

We might feel like we should do it because we’re afraid that no one else will. Or maybe the person/people that are asking us to take on this particular task will be upset if we don’t take it. We don’t want to cause conflict. In our heart, we truly want to help, but what we’re being asked to do just isn’t what we feel led to help with.

Seeking God first is important when we are asked to take on any position, whether within the church or outside the church. Obeying God should always come before making any type of sacrifice.

It’s easy to think that maybe God wants us to do these things just because we are being asked by certain people to do it, even if it doesn’t feel right on the inside. But that’s not always the case.

It’s important to pay attention to those feelings we have on the inside. We need to go after God and ask Him why we feel the way we do.

God has certain people for certain jobs, within the church, and even outside the church. He works with people and prepares them for certain tasks, and He knows their hearts. He knows when someone is ready for a specific position.

Stepping into someone else’s position, whether asked or not, will not only cause problems within that position, but it will affect our lives as well, even if we are doing it in the name of HELP or sacrifice.

Take time today and make sure that what we have said yes to is what we are supposed to be doing. Being in that place/position that we belong in will bring peace to our heart, mind and soul.

Obedience is better than sacrifice. Amen.
