Sometimes we need discipline.
Today was one of those days for me. God has been working and showing me some things with regard to the direction He has for me to go. Things to do, and things not to do pertaining to my work.
During the last week and a half I started to get a bit off track. Distracted by “shiny objects”, so to speak.
Today, I got put back on track. I needed it. I’ll admit that.
The cool thing about God is that He does it firmly, but gently. At least if we heed Him the first time He nudges us.
If we ignore Him, though, then the nudges might become a bit more firm. So it’s a good thing to listen to Him the first time he prompts us!
So be encouraged today. If God is disciplining us, it’s because He loves us. And because we need it.
The best thing we can do is listen, hear His voice and do something about it!
