Bible Verse of The Day – 2-2-19

Psalm 139:14 (NKJV) 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

Has someone called us names, talked down to us, looked at us as good for nothing? Have they told us that we will never get anywhere or amount to anything? Have they looked down at us or made fun of us because of our appearance, or our intelligence?

Those words and accusations are not for us to take on or carry. We don’t listen to that voice. Instead, we shut it out and shut it down.

That voice is not allowed to have a say over us. Those negative words will not affect us or determine who we are. They will not define us.

Our Father of truth, Jehovah Jireh, will tell us who we are, and He says it best. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made!

Marvelous are His works, and we are all part of His work. No longer will we let those lies have a voice in our ears. Instead, we hold tightly to the words of truth, and we walk in them.

We are beautiful in God’s eyes. Know it today.

  1. What or who is a Jehovah Jireh?
The LORD is called by many names by humans, but I have never seen this one anywhere in the Bible.
Would you explain it to me please?

    • Jehovah Jireh comes from Genesis 22:14

Genesis 22:14 (NKJV) 14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

The-Lord-Will-Provide, in the original Hebrew, was written as YHWH Yireh, or Jehovah Jireh.

In Hebrew, the name is יְהוָה יִרְאֶה YHWH

YHWH is the most common name of God in the Hebrew Bible. It is most commonly pronounced Yahweh.

We hope this helps you better understand it 🙂

      Sincerely,

      Pastor Curt & Pastor Ellie
