Bible Verse of The Day – 2-21-22

Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV) 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Anyone who is the least bit observant, and who allows the Holy Spirit to help them discern the signs of the times, can see that there is great evil operating in the world today.

It is, more than likely, the most evil period in history.

Evil no longer tries to hide in the shadows, but instead flaunts itself for all to see, almost taunting the righteous, daring someone to challenge it.

This is pretty frustrating to see. As we long for justice, we see none. Instead, we see quite the opposite.

We see the good punished and the evil rewarded by the world and by the evil ones who fight tooth and nail to maintain control.

But rest assured, God isn’t turning a blind eye to any of this. He sees it all.

And though we may long to see such wickedness punished, we have to understand that we may not. This isn’t to say that we won’t. But it is a reminder that we are not in charge. God is.

And as we watch the depravity unfold before our very eyes, we need to be reminded that God foretold all of these types of things centuries ago through His prophets.

And as we look back on history, we see that this has been repeated over and over again across time.

So, what do we do? How do we handle this in a way that’s pleasing to God?

First, we trust Him with it; all of it. We don’t fret or worry.

Second, we do what He tells us to do. We listen for Him and we heed what He says.

Third, we press in to Him like we have never done before.

Fourth, we live. We walk out each day, living to glorify Him in everything we say and do.

Sometimes this will mean fighting tyranny. Sometimes it will mean praying quietly for His will to be done. Other times it will mean speaking out when He prompts us to speak.

Each day and each situation are different, and we need to be careful not to try to treat everything and every day the same.

Watch. Seek. Listen. Obey.

These four words are the key.
