Matthew 11:30 (NKJV) 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Some people are feeling very hurt on the inside today. They are carrying around a heavy burden, blaming themselves and walking under a heavy cloud of depression.
God is willing to lift it off us if we are willing to do our part in following Him. If we are willing to try each day, walk out His statutes, and obey His words, He will lead us out of this heaviness.
Psalm 119:145 (NKJV) 145 I cry out with my whole heart; Hear me, O Lord! I will keep Your statutes.
Are we willing? Or do we love what we are involved in so much that it has become our way in this life, and we are willing to let it take us down?
Only we can decide this. Our spouse can’t decide for us. Our parents, teachers, best friends, etc., can’t make this decision for us. No one can make us be willing. It is solely a personal decision.
If this is speaking to us today, don’t wait until we think we have it all together before we step out and ask God for help. Do it in the midst of our heaviness. He will meet us there. Amen.
