Bible Verse of The Day – 4-20-24

Ephesians 5:2 (NKJV) 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

The Lord not only told us He loved us, but He proved it by following through with His plan. He gave Himself for us.

His plan was to do the will of His Father. He loved His Father and He loved us. He was focused on the plan to bring salvation to everyone!

It’s the greatest gift we will ever receive. Far greater than any material thing can be!

With that being said, why do we work so hard to gain wealth and material status? Why are all our efforts put toward gaining what we will leave behind someday?

This picture needs to change in the lives of believers.

He gave His life for us. He showed us how much He loves us. He was the ultimate sacrifice that was needed for us to be cleansed and set free from our sins.

He did it for us!

We, in return, need to give our lives by submitting to His plan for us, even making great sacrifices at times to do His will!

Amen.

We don’t know what He is asking you personally to do today, only you know.
