Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
If we want to know if or when the Holy Spirit is moving through us, this is a good way to tell. These are His fruit.
What a beautiful list. If we could all just let God’s Spirit have full reign over everything about us, things would surely turn out different.
LOVE is the first fruit listed. If we could just get that one down, the rest of them would fall into place, one by one.
But, for us to love like God we have to let God in to teach us, guide us and walk us through it.
We can’t walk in these fruits unless the Spirit of God is moving through us. We need to get ourselves completely out of the way and let God have His way. When we can reach this point, He shows up and says, “now we’re talking”.
We have to decrease within ourselves and let the Holy Spirit increase within us if we want to be able to produce this kind of fruit each day.
Give more room to the Holy Spirit and we will be amazed at the fruit that comes out of us.
