Bible Verse of The Day – 6-18-12

(Mark 15:38 NKJV)  Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

This is one of the most significant sentences in the entire New Testament!

When Jesus breathed His last breath, the veil that separated man from God’s presence was torn from top to bottom. Man was no longer unable to approach God.

As believers and followers of Christ, we now have complete access to God. We aren’t limited to relying on a priest to go to God for us. We can go to Him ourselves and make our petitions known to Him.

This is powerful stuff! We need to understand the importance of this.

God wants us to come to Him. His word tells us in Hebrews 4:16 to come boldly to the throne of grace! We don’t have to hide or be timid.

Don’t let the enemy convince you that you’re not good enough to approach God. Jesus paid the price for us and created a way for us to have direct access to the Father.

So if you’re being tormented by the enemy and told that you can never go to God, you be sure to tell him to shut his mouth, in the name of Jesus. And then run to the Father!

He’s there waiting for you.
