Bible Verse of The Day – 10-21-18 – Milk or Meat?

Please click to watch the video nowGood day!

Milk or Meat? That’s the question we ask in today’s video, which deals with the topic of maturing as a believer.

Please click here to watch the video now.

At the moment we become a child of God, it is intended that we grow and mature. Whether we actually do or not is up to us.

Please click here to watch the video now.

As babies, we can only eat milk and other liquids. But as we grow, we should progress to more solid foods.

This happens only by us making a choice to grow and then acting on that choice.

And how do we actually grow and mature once we make that choice?

We hope you enjoy the video.

Sincerely in Christ,

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-11-18

Hebrews 5:12 (NKJV) 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

Growth. It’s something that comes naturally to our human bodies. It happens without us doing anything to help it. And even if we don’t try, we still grow.

As we grow in the natural, there are things we can do to complement our natural growth, such as eating right and getting exercise. It won’t necessarily make us grow faster. But it will help us to grow stronger.

Spiritual growth, however, is a bit different. It takes effort if we are to grow beyond the most basic levels. It requires us to want to grow.

The thing that we need to remember is that everyone grows at different rates. Some may grow quickly, while others may take much longer. We may also see “growth spurts” as some people go through seasons in their lives where they put forth more effort than in other seasons.

The important thing, though, is that we do grow. It is never good to sit static, making no effort to grow.

Just as a child in the natural is expected to grow, a follower of Christ is also expected to grow. Growth should be a natural tendency when someone puts their faith and trust in Jesus.

Not growing, or growing slowly isn’t necessarily something to be ashamed of, but if we recognize that we are not growing, it would do us much good to try to take steps to remedy that.

We encourage you to grow. Do whatever is necessary to make it happen. Feed your spirit with the word of God. Strengthen yourself by regularly communing with God during times of devotion and prayer.

We don’t need to be religious about it. God doesn’t want our religious habits. He wants our hearts!

He just wants us to be real, be sincere and be genuine in our pursuit of Him.

Grow. Build your spiritual muscles. And become a member of God’s victorious army of soldiers of the kingdom.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-20-17

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

Trusting God with little things causes us to use and have little faith and get little results. Trusting God with bigger things will cause our faith to grow, getting us bigger results.

What are we waiting for? Are we comfortable with the things we are handing over to Him, and that is as far as we want to go with our walk? That’s OK if that is where we want to stay. But remember Who we are walking with. There is much more if we are willing to surrender more.

God is a faithful God. The deeper we go with Him, the more exciting things get.

We can choose to be comfortable, and have control over the way things go, and keep on doing it the way we are used to.

But if we like excitement and challenges, we need to step out as God leads and go for it.

He will rock our world with His creativity if we let Him!! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 1-27-17

Jeremiah 42:6 (NKJV) 6 Whether it is pleasing or displeasing, we will obey the voice of the Lord our God to whom we send you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.”

I had to learn in life that trusting God means spending time with Him and waiting for His answer. It also means sharing all those things that are uncomfortable to admit or even talk about at times, and letting Him give me His answer or solution to my situation. Whether I liked it or not, I had to obey.

Trusting God is an exciting way to live. He loves to fix things, turning them around, making them work and bringing forth GOOD! He brings peace and happiness in the midst of a storm.

He keeps us going down a road of constant learning and growing while His protection is all around us. It doesn’t mean things won’t come against us. It just simply means that when they do, He is our SHIELD!

Psalm 33:20 (NKJV) 20 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.

He loves our conversations and the time we spend with Him. He waits for us and looks forward to sharing our days with Him.

He is very personable and He doesn’t want us to think that our cares and concerns are less than those of other people. The things that matter to us, MATTER to Him. And the things that matter to Him should matter to us.

He wants us to come to Him for all things big, small or in between. He loves when we acknowledge what we have done wrong and with all sincerity ask for forgiveness and help.

We should not feel like we are disturbing Him at any time. He is there for us. He is our HELP.

Psalm 124:8 (NKJV) 8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.

He looks forward to our songs, our praises, our tears, our fears and our thankfulness.

Go to Him today and open up. He is faithful to meet us where we’re at.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-1-16

2 Corinthians 5:15 (NKJV)15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

Do we sometimes feel conviction when we try to do things that we used to do? There may not even be anything wrong with what we want to do, but it just doesn’t feel the same. As a matter of fact, it doesn’t even interest us anymore.

One day I was thinking of going and doing something that I used to enjoy doing. As I headed toward it, I thought “why don’t I feel like I used to”, when I was attempting to do the same thing I had always done? What occurred to me is that I had changed.

Before, I would get excited and be really happy about going and doing this particular thing. But it wasn’t that way this time.

It’s not that we can’t have fun and enjoy life. God wants us to have a wonderful life in Him and through Him! It’s just that as we start to live for Christ, the old things and the old ways that used to bring us joy don’t necessarily have that same effect on us any longer.

Those feelings we once had toward doing certain things have changed. And now, instead, we’ve found other things that bring us joy.

Christ died for us and as we receive Him and His gift of Salvation for us, we also will die to ourselves and become One with Him, causing us to enjoy the things that bring joy to Him.

We don’t live so much to please ourselves any longer, but we live to please Him!

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-15-16

1 Corinthians 13:11 (NKJV) 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Children see things through eyes of innocence, ignorance and simplicity. They don’t have the experience of life’s circumstances to help them make wise choices. They are unlearned in many things.

Because of this, they can make some terrible choices and do some pretty foolish things. And their behavior isn’t always what it should be. Sometimes they can be downright unruly and hard to be around.

So it is, also, with some adults. Sometimes we tend to resist learning certain things. We don’t want anyone to tell us anything that will require us to change our thinking or the way we do things.

And so we stay ignorant and immature in some areas of our lives. And our ignorance hurts us and those around us.

Hebrews 5:12 (NKJV) 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

The writer of Hebrews was pretty adamant about the fact that believers, followers of Christ, should not remain ignorant and immature. But should be growing and becoming spiritual adults.

As with children in the natural, growth is implied, the moment they are born. It’s silly to think that they can stay small in stature and in their minds. It is understood that they will grow and mature as they get older.

As believers, growth is also implied, from the moment we put our faith and trust in Christ. We need to always be learning and growing. We need to be seeking and learning. And we need to look to those who are more mature and wiser than us for our understanding and knowledge.

Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is dangerous.

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…

Let’s not be children. Let’s be strong, mature men and women of God who follow God closely, make wise decisions and sound choices.
