Bible Verse of The Day – 1-3-19

Luke 10:17 (NKJV) 17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

In Your name, Lord!

When we call on His name, every demon is subject to us. This is the power and authority we walk in through the saving grace and name of Jesus!

Don’t fear the demons that come against us to steal, kill and destroy, because Jesus has already won the battle. He is our Victor!

He has come that we may have life. Not death. Not bondage, and not destruction. Life more abundantly! Amen.

John 10:10 (NKJV) 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Call on His name today. Don’t wait. Don’t think we have to work everything out first. No. We will never work it all out without Him. We need His power and authority that He has given to each one of us moving in our lives today. Things change when Jesus is around.

Philippians 2:10 (NKJV) 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.

Every knee shall bow at the name of Jesus.

Dear God in Heaven,

I am Your child through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I am speaking Jesus’ name today over my problems. I believe in that precious name and the power that it holds. Today, Lord,

May my sickness go, in the name of Jesus.

May my addictions go, in the name of Jesus.

May my jealousy go, in the name of Jesus.

May my unforgiveness and bitterness go, in the name of Jesus.

May my gossiping stop, in the name of Jesus.

I cry out in Your name, Lord, trusting and believing that You are here, helping me to overcome my personal problems.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 2-9-17

Luke 10:17 (NKJV) 17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

These people all spent time with Jesus. They walked and talked with Him. They watched Him perform miracles. They heard Him teach others, and He taught them personally.

Yet, they were surprised and amazed that even the demons were subject to them in His name.

In reality, here is what everything boils down to; everything is subject to the name of Jesus.

Demons have to flee when His name is spoken. The wind and the waves obey Him. And even those who follow Him have authority in His name.

As we go through each day, it’s important that we remember this; that if we are a follower of Christ, we are part of His body. We are part of something much bigger than we can even comprehend.

Being a Christian, a follower of Christ, means more than just “being religious”. It means more than just calling ourselves a Christian. It means more than attending church. And it means more than just putting a label on ourselves and setting ourselves apart from others.

As a follower of Christ, it’s critical that we understand who we are and Who we belong to.

And because of that, we shouldn’t live feeble, weak, defeated lives. We should live lives that reflect Who we belong to and Who dwells in each of us.

No, we might not always feel strong and victorious. And sometimes we might feel like we have dropped the ball. Or maybe we just feel a bit weak or tired.

But once we really begin to comprehend who we are as a believer, we should start to understand that our lives are meant to be lived victoriously. So when those things come that hit us or knock us down, we should be spending way less time down than we spend up!

1 Corinthians 15:57 (NKJV) 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-20-15

Luke 10:19 (NKJV) 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

As followers of Christ, we have been given authority.

What does that mean? Who and what do we have authority over? What does that authority do for us?

We have authority over demonic powers. Jesus mentions snakes and scorpions, but this is simply symbolic for demons and evil spirits.

If we have the spirit of God living in us and we are washed in the blood of Jesus, we have the authority to rebuke demons and cast them out in the name of Jesus.

There is no power in hell that can stand up against the name of our Savior. They have to flee, no questions asked.

Having this authority means that we are equipped to live life with power and victory. It doesn’t mean that we will never have battles to fight. It doesn’t mean that we will never go through trials or hard times.

But it does mean that when we face demonic powers, we have the means and the weapons to defeat them. They cannot rule over our lives, unless we let them.

So as we face each day and evil spirits try to attack us, we have what it takes to rebuke them, cast them out and prevent them from ever coming back.

We just need to understand our authority and use it.
