Bible Verse of The Day – 7-25-19

Matthew 11:30 (NKJV) 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Let it out.

We need to open our mouth in prayer and release what we have been carrying.

Whatever you are going through, or helping someone go through, the weight of it must be released or surrendered to God.

If we try to carry it, it will mess with us and interfere with the things we need to continue on in.

Just recently I spent a week helping someone get through a bad situation. I know that only God knew what I was dealing with. The person themselves had no idea what was going on in the atmosphere around them.

I don’t even think I fully comprehend most of what was happening. But I could feel the weight of it, and it was heavy.

When it was over, I was in prayer the next day, and what I felt come off me or my spirit man was sadness and sorrow. I had never felt this to such a degree as I felt it that day. But, thank God He was there. And I left it at His feet.

He is faithful to lift the weight of what we are going through or what we may be helping others go through. After we have helped with our part, it’s important to remember to let go or release it all to God, and be free from it.

Some of us have never been taught to release it. But it is a necessity. And if we don’t release it, we will feel the weight, the numbness, the constant dwelling on it. It can even bring confusion at times.

It’s not ours to carry. Let it go.

1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-1-19

Isaiah 46:4 (NKJV) 4 Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

We all try to carry the load at one time or another. We say we are not going to rely on anyone else. We need to feel like we can do it ourselves.

Sometimes it’s good we can get certain things done ourselves and not have to rely on any help at all. But, there are some things that God does not want us to carry.

We tend to worry over and over about the same things. Things that we can’t carry. They are way too heavy for us, and if we don’t see it as being too much, we will hurt ourselves trying.

It’s like a weightlifter trying to lift way beyond their capability. They can keep on trying, but they will only hurt themselves in the process. We’ve got to know our limits. And our body has a way of telling us.

God doesn’t want us carrying a heavy load and being in a constant state of worrying. It’s not that we should pretend that nothing is wrong, or that we don’t acknowledge our current situation.

But, whatever it may be at that time, He wants us to take it to Him.

When we share our heaviness with Him, we open up and tell Him what it is that’s causing our stress. We ask for help and we wait on Him for the answer.

Then there is no need to dwell on it. Go about our day and keep walking, expecting God to carry us through. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-2-18

Romans 8:31 (NKJV) 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

If you are feeling defeated today, you need to know that you are not alone. A lot of Christian people walk around with a smile on their face, talking the talk. But deep down they are feeling the same way, defeated and alone.

Sometimes the ones that we think have it all together are the ones who struggle the most.

Things aren’t always what they appear to be on the surface. We don’t know or understand what some people are facing. They too wrestle with thoughts and feelings of defeat.

We don’t even realize that the things we are going through, many times, are not our fault. We may not have done anything to cause them. Sometimes we are facing demons or principalities, spiritual attacks that have been sent out against us or others around us.

God will not let them win over us.

Colossians 2:15 (NKJV) 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

The important thing to remember is to keep your eyes on God and don’t let feelings of defeat take up residence in your heart. Oh, they will try to enter in, but we don’t have to let them stay there.

Look to God for your strategy or plan. And know that whatever it is that you’re battling, it shall pass and not do permanent damage or harm.

Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.

Stand firm and hold on to God’s promises and what He says about you.

Romans 8:37 (NKJV) 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-24-17

Psalm 55:22 (NKJV) 22 Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

One day as I was on my knees praying, I was heavyhearted with so many things. I heard the Lord say to me in this very gentle, but yet firm voice, “you are not the Savior, you know”. I replied back to Him, “Oh Lord, of course I’m not. You are!”. “Well”, the Lord said, “your actions show differently”.

Suddenly I realized what was happening. I had gotten so busy and concerned about the things I was seeing and hearing, that I neglected to take the time I needed to stop and pray about them. Instead, I carried them.

More things kept coming and piling up. It was getting so heavy on me it began to affect me physically. I was getting tired, moody, and I started to get an attitude. That happens when you are carrying a heavy load and you don’t get God’s help.

You see, when we pray and we give the things we are concerned about to God, He takes them, leaving us lighter and free.

Yep. So if you are feeling this way, let me say to you what I heard the Lord say to me; You are not the Savior you know.

Give those things that you are carrying to the Lord. Tell Him about it and leave it there. He will deal with them accordingly as we trust Him with them. He knows what it will take to fix them.

We were not made to carry them, but to cast them.
