Bible Verse of The Day – 1-19-23

Mark 4:39 (NKJV) 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

These 3 words changed the outcome of the storm.

What we say and do when we face a storm will determine our outcome.

Jesus rebuked the wind and spoke to the sea. The wind ceased and the sea was calm.

Jesus knew what to do and what to say in that moment. He spoke the words necessary for the moment, and the storm ceased.

Will we remain calm enough in the midst of a storm to hear God and apply His Words to our situation?

When we have faith in God and we trust Him no matter what rises up around us, it is powerful! There is no storm, no change in our situation, no problem too big for us to face with Him in the boat with us.

If we are facing a sudden, unexpected change in our situation, or if a heavy storm has hit, remember the 3 words Jesus spoke; Peace, be still!

Have faith and trust God to bring the calm. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-9-21

Mark 4:39 (NKJV) 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

If you are struggling today, we pray in unity with you, for peace over your storm, in Jesus’ name.

Sometimes all it takes is for us to follow Jesus and the example He gave us all.

How many times do we try so hard to get things right? We work at trying to do the best we can and try to get things to turn around. But we end up with the same result.

We wrestle with which changes to make and what steps to take. And even after all the different things we try, we are still facing the same issues.

Sometimes it is nothing that we are doing wrong. It’s simply the storm that is passing through.

Many times, when a storm hits, it will leave a mess behind as it departs. And this mess require us to clean it up.

What storm is trying to hold us back today?

Let us take a step right now and rebuke these storms, speaking to them as Jesus did, saying, “peace, be still”.

May it cease and may you see a great calm come over your situation and the things you have been dealing with.

We are standing in agreement with you today. And together we shall see the calm.

Matthew 18:20 (NKJV) 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-4-17

John 16:33 (NKJV) 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

These are very powerful words.

Jesus spoke of the fact that in the world, we will have tribulation. But, He told us to be of good cheer. He also promised that in Him, we would have peace.

How? How can we have peace in the midst of tribulation? How can we be of good cheer while being tossed about by a storm?

By way of the fact that He has overcome the world. That’s how!

The world, as Jesus spoke of it, doesn’t just refer to the people of the world… the unbelievers or those who do evil. But He referred more to the world as a whole. The ways of the world, the evil in the world, the storms of life and the things we face each and every day.

These things can and will wear us down if we let them. They will suck the life out of us if we try to face them on our own, by our own power, strength and understanding.

Instead, Jesus reassured us that He has already overcome the world. And because of this, if our faith and trust are in Him, then we can also overcome the world, and all of the things in it.

He didn’t promise that it would be easy. He didn’t promise that it would happen instantly. He didn’t promise that we would be able to understand it all. He simply promised that, because He overcame the world, we could have peace and joy because of His victory. And because He overcame the world, we can also be overcomers in Christ.

So, as we feel the weight of the cares of this world on our shoulders, we need to pull our strength from Him, and stand up. And as we stand up, we need to speak to our storm and say “Peace, be still”!

Mark 4:39 (NKJV) 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
