Bible Verse of The Day – 8-3-19

Isaiah 40:29 (NKJV) 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.

When we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior, we not only gain eternal life, we also gain strength.

People don’t realize how weak we are without Christ in us.

We may think we are strong because of the way we handle ourselves from day to day. But wait until one thing happens that we weren’t expecting and then see how much we need Him.

It’s not that we want anything to happen to anyone, but the Bible specifically tells us that in this world there will come trials and tribulations. But it does not say we will overcome them on our own.

John 16:33 (NKJV) 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

It specifically says that He has overcome them, and if we are His children, we too will overcome them as we walk in His wisdom and strength.

We are weak without Him. But the good news is that He gives power to the weak! He increases our strength!

Have we ever been going through a tough time, yet we can still smile and be an encouragement to someone?

People may not understand how we could have joy in the midst of a storm or help someone else when we ourselves are going through some things. But that is the strength that He gives us in our weakest moments.

He is good! Eternal life is the most precious gift anyone could ever be given. But that is not all that He gives us. He cares enough to help us here on earth before we reach heaven, and He increases our strength as well.

When we receive Christ as our Savior, He sets us free from sin, gives us eternal life with Him, and gives us strength when we are weak. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-20-18

Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

How many of us try to be strong at something in particular, and time after time we fail?

We think, “oh, maybe next time we will get it right”. We keep trying and we make an honest effort, but still to no avail.

There is a reason we keep failing. But we can’t let it discourage us. We just need to get understanding, so we can get it right. So here’s what most of us need to change.

We need to let God be our strength. It is in our weakness that His strength is made perfect.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

So, we can’t give up and look down on ourselves. Be encouraged today and let Him be our rock.

These things we keep battling with are the very things that we need His power, might and strength if we are to conquer them.

Be strong in the LORD and win! Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-25-18

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

God has told us that His strength is made perfect in weakness. Praise God…it’s made perfect!

He can turn our weakness around with His strength.

We need to recognize our weaknesses first, and instead of waiting to go to God until we get them right or fixed, we need to run to Him with them immediately.

Most times, our very weakness will keep us from going to Him. But it’s because of our weakness that we should go to Him.

We may try over and over again to make things right. It could take us some time and we may still never get it right, only to end up right where we started again.

Weakness can’t fix weakness. But strength can fix it and get rid of it for good!

God has the strength we need to fix the weakness within us. And His strength is made perfect in our weakness. We’ve got the weakness, and we need His strength to fix it completely and get rid of it for good.

Go to Him, talk to Him about our weakness. Lay it all out and get His strength working in us.

Getting rid of the weaknesses in us may take some time. God will work on us and in us.

Don’t give up or get discouraged if we don’t feel change right away. Have faith in God and what His word says.

Be patient and keep following His steps. His strength will eventually become evident where we were once weak.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-22-15

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

We all have weaknesses.

Most of us don’t like to admit it or confess what our weaknesses might be, but we all have them.

Having weaknesses isn’t a sin. It’s just part of our makeup. As children of God, though, we need to learn how to deal with those weaknesses and overcome them, through God’s power.

There are so many different kinds of weaknesses that we may wrestle with; lying, stealing, lust, anger, rage, control, manipulation, doubt, cynicism, drugs, alcoholism, and a thousand others that we can all think of.

It doesn’t matter, though, what it is that we wrestle with, God can help us overcome it, by His spirit, His grace and His mercy.

We need to confess our weaknesses to Him and ask Him to help us overcome them. There may be times when we need to seek help from someone we trust, confessing our weakness to another believer and getting wise counsel.

Sometimes God will put someone in our life who has walked through the very same things that we are struggling with and has overcome them, and they can share with us how God helped them have victory over it.

Proverbs 1:5 (NKJV) 5 A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel…

Be wise in choosing who to confide in and be sure that person will honor your confidence and your trust in them.

And there may be times when nobody else has to know anything about your struggles, except God himself, as He works in you to help you overcome them and put them behind you forever.

Trust Him. Let Him help you and lead you to victory over whatever it is you struggle with. You may not be able to overcome it on your own, but you can with God’s help.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
