James 5:16 (NKJV) 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
Confessing and praying brings healing.
Sometimes we don’t want to talk about certain things we did for many reasons. Maybe we are afraid to bring it up, or ashamed of what people might think of us. Maybe we feel we are better off not saying anything at all, or we just want to forget about the whole thing and hide it inside.
As hard as it may be to confess some things, it’s what needs to take place before healing can start.
If someone confesses something to us, we don’t judge them, we don’t talk about it, or share it with others. We keep it confidential and we take it to God. We pray for them because God is faithful to heal! Amen.
