Bible Verse of The Day – 2-5-13

(John 14:8-9 NKJV)  Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” {9} Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

These verses make me shake my head in awe.

Jesus was openly confessing to the disciples that He was God in the flesh. He was the human essence of God the Father.

The Father is spirit. We cannot see or behold Him. But He wanted to come to earth in bodily form to reach out to us, to make himself approachable to us and to “walk in our shoes”, so to speak.

Jesus coming to earth was God’s ultimate way of saying “I Love You”, even in dying for us on the cross.

Let’s not take this lightly. Read and re-read the verses above and let this get into your spirit. Jesus said “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known me?”. He was answering as the Father… the supreme Lord of all.

How completely awesome is that?

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-8-12

(John 14:6 NKJV)  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

There is but one way to God the Father. His name is Jesus.

He is the messiah, the redeemer, the savior. His blood was shed to take away our sins.

There is no other being, person, prophet or entity who can say this; not Mohammed, not Buddha, not Confucius, not anyone.

This might not be politically correct, but it is absolute truth. Jesus is Lord of all.

If you are a believer and follower of Christ, there is no room for dabbling with other religions or forms of spirituality. We need to be solid in our faith, not divided.

Our trust needs to be in the Creator, not in the psychic, the astrologer, the spirit medium or anyone else who claims to have knowledge of spiritual matters.

Make a vow in your heart today to honor the One and the Only true God, and then let the things in your life that are not of Him fall away.
