Bible Verse of The Day – 10-21-17

John 14:26 (NKJV) 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Let us get on the right track today by taking the things we messed up on yesterday and working on getting them right today.

Sometimes we say the wrong things. Other times we may have a bad attitude and it shows in our actions. Maybe we just love drama and love to repeat negative things, etc.

Whatever we may have done in the past, today is a new day. We can learn from those things we did or said wrong yesterday, and turn them around. How? By not repeating those same mistakes.

That’s all that God asks for, is that we realize our error, repent of it and work at fixing the things that cause us to keep doing it.

There is a disappointing feeling that comes when we continue doing wrong over and over again, no matter how hard we try to get it right. But, be encouraged today and know that we can overcome it with God’s help.

God understands our frailty as humans. He knew we needed to have help to resist temptation, break bad habits and undo learned behavior. He has provided a way for us.

Our help comes through receiving the Holy Spirit and letting Him guide us. He gives us discernment and discipline to shut those things down when they begin to rise against us.

We cannot avoid temptation on our own. We need an EXPERT to help us, and to remind us of the right things to do and say in that moment. He will give us what it takes to do it right. Ask God to send our Helper, the Holy Spirit. And He will come.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-21-15

John 14:26 (NKJV) 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

The Holy Spirit is Our Helper.

The church as a whole is not doing well. Why?

Because we are afraid to let the Holy Spirit in to HELP us. We are afraid He may convict us into shutting down a few things and changing things up a bit. We are afraid He might come in to our pretty little scheduled Sunday services or our well planned lives and do something completely different than what we are used to.

Do we really understand Who our Helper is? He is there to help us, not to hurt us, embarrass us or bring confusion to us.

Jesus knew we were going to need the Holy Spirit. He walked this earth and knew what we would be up against daily. He knew about the fiery dots that are deliberately sent out,  solely to bring destruction.

Ephesians 6:16 (NKJV) 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

His provision to us, to defeat the wicked one and to live a life of victory, was through the help of the Holy Spirit.

Don’t be afraid to embrace our Helper and do what He tells us to do.

It is through the help of the Holy Spirit that God will lead us, and those things that were impossible will be possible!

Luke 1:37 (NKJV) 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Amen.
