Please click to watch the video now.Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Have you ever felt like God went silent on you?

We have probably all experienced it at some point.

It can be frustrating for some, while it’s disheartening for others. Either way, we don’t like when it happens.

In today’s video, “Where Are You, God?”, we teach on this, why it happens, and what to do when it does happen.

We hope that this video will help you better understand it and learn how to deal with it when it happens to you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-27-20

1 Kings 18:1 (NKJV) 1 And it came to pass after many days that the word of the Lord came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, “Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth.”

This verse contains a very short piece that’s often overlooked when we read it. Let’s take a look at it!

As we start off, we see that there was a period of “many days” where Elijah waited to hear from God. No big deal, right?

Well, if we look a little further, we will see that the “many days” was actually three years.

“In the third year” tells us that three years had passed while Elijah waited on God. Two other verses later on tell us that it was actually 3 years and 6 months.

Three and a half years!

How many of us have had periods of time where God seemed to be silent? We hear nothing, and it begins to bother us.

Many people wonder why this happens. Why does God “go silent”?

The more important question, though, would be “what do we do when God is silent?”. How do we handle it? How do we react to it?

Do we wait patiently, or do we fret, worry and stress over it?

Every one of us has probably had periods where we were waiting to hear from God and it seemed like He might never answer us or we might never hear from Him again.

But, in time, God speaks again and we begin to get our answers.

We may or may not get understanding as to why it took longer than we had hoped for or expected. But at least we’re hearing from God again!

Elijah waited on God. The Bible isn’t very clear on how he acted during that time. But Elijah being a man of strong faith would seemingly indicate that he did so without fretting and worrying.

God never leaves us. So, when those silent periods come, we just need to know that He is faithful, and no matter what it might look like to our natural eyes, He never abandons us.
