Bible Verse of The Day – 2-14-24

Psalm 29:11 (NKJV 11 The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.

The question here is not whether He will give us strength. The question is, will we walk in it?

Will we believe it is His strength that we need?

This world loves to puff itself up. There is always much talk about how we, out of our own ability, can do this or that.

Those who talk like this have no clue as to how weak and vulnerable we are without God’s strength.

Don’t listen to the hype talk of those who propagate this information with nothing to back it up. They have never found what real strength or real peace is.

They speak their words to encourage us and boost us, to keep us going. But their words give false hope, making people think they can do anything they desire to do.

But they leave out one very important thing; they leave God out of it!

How do we get past this?

We stop reaching for words others say that will cause us to live in a false place just so we can feel good momentarily.

We need to put the brakes on when it comes to reading, watching, and listening to things that will leave us to crash and burn when the truth becomes known. And we need to learn what “God Strength” can do for us.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

We can do all things, but we need HIS STRENGTH! And He will give it to those who are His.

Let us get His strength moving in us today. Let Him bless us with His peace and keep us walking victoriously in our everyday lives.

We thank Him today for His strength. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-9-22

Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV) 10 For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Sometimes, even as believers, we may feel tired, alone and heavy-laden.

We hurt for those we care about, and many nights we find ourselves crying alone on our pillows for the things we see.

We cry for our loved ones. We cry for the suffering we see in the world. We cry for those that are so twisted in their thinking, and the damage it is causing. We cry because of what God sees in humanity as a whole.

The world is full of pain and sorrow.

Psalm 27:13 (NKJV) 13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.

Although there is much to pray about, and so much to be concerned about, there is also a lot of the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!

Stay focused on the good things, and pray for that which has gone sour. Be an encourager, and lift others by our words of love.

Don’t lose heart. Believe that God will turn things around! Amen.

He sees our ministering daily and does not forget our work and labor of love. He is faithful to see things through.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-26-21

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

We need this verse written on our hearts today. We are going to need to be very strong in the up-and-coming days. That is, stronger than we ever have known ourselves to be.

The good news is that God is for us!

Romans 8:31 (NKJV) 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Believers, He is with us!

His Spirit is in us and He will guide us. The strength we will walk in will be more than our own strength alone.

It will be Him moving through our veins. We will have His courage to do things we never would have thought we’d have to do.

But know this; no matter where we go or end up, He goes with us. We are not alone. This is not our battle, but HIs. We are just walking it out alongside Him.

Why?

1 John 4:19 (NKJV) 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

Because He loved us first, we love Him to the end and we will stand for Him.

Don’t be afraid of the things we see and hear these  days. It’s all part of what God has told us would take place. And only God knows the road ahead.

Stay strong and pray for one another. We stand united. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV) 17 pray without ceasing…

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-26-21

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid.

When God spoke these words to Joshua, He was preparing the people of Israel to cross over the Jordan river to capture and inhabit the land that He had set aside for them.

He knew they would need to be strong and courageous if they were to do what He needed them to do.

Today, we also need to be strong and courageous.

No, we’re not necessarily preparing to invade a land and inhabit it.

But we are in a place where we need to be bold and ready to stand for God’s truth.

As with the people under Joshua’s leadership, we are entering a “foreign land” in the sense that we are now treading where we haven’t stepped before. We are dealing with things that we have never had to deal with before.

Each day we learn new things as we see events happening around us that are plainly evil in their origins.

And in all of this, we have a choice; we stand up to it or we sit and be quiet.

We have to let the Holy Spirit lead us with regard to whether to stand or be silent. There will be times for both.

As with the Israelites, sitting silently when we should be acting with courage can lead to consequences that aren’t pleasant.

If God has called us to possess the land, so to speak, we need to be warriors with great courage (which comes from God), and be bold in our conquest to accomplish it.

We need to let God lead us and teach us. He is faithful to do both.

We just have to be willing to follow and obey.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-18-19

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV) 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Steadfast: resolutely or dutifully firm and unwavering. Loyal, faithful, dedicated, resolute, relentless, unchanging, unwavering, unflinching, uncompromising.

Paul urges the Corinthians to be steadfast and immovable in their work for the Lord.

This is something that we all need to take seriously, being steadfast, immovable.

It’s not always easy. Unexpected things can happen that may try to knock us backwards. Sometimes they may make us waver a little.

But as we look upward to God, and we draw our strength from Him, He will help us keep our feet planted, even when we end up lying flat on our backs, looking up.

The important thing is to remember that not a single one of us has the strength to do this on our own. None of us.

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

So, don’t be dismayed, discouraged or afraid!

God is with us wherever we go. He is for us!

Romans 8:31 (NKJV) 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-14-18

Romans 8:25 (NKJV) 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

One of the hardest things to do is to persevere when we are in a battle. Most times we are already tired and weary. All we want to do is crash somewhere, let someone else take over, close our eyes and go to sleep.

How many of us know that feeling? Just let me sleep it off, and when I wake up maybe it will be gone.

If we want to put this battle behind us, we must win. It’s not time to lay down and rest or take a break. It’s time to stand and keep on standing until we get our answer, our breakthrough.

Maybe we are in a situation today that has us feeling like we can’t think straight. Our mind is all worn out and our body is feeling beaten down from the emotional stress of it all. God wants to personally show us how we can go further than we’ve ever thought of going.

He wants to renew and refresh us with His strength, His Might and His power. He wants to keep us going. We can’t lay down yet; not until we reach that point where we have the peace of God in us, speaking loud and clear, saying, “It’s over”.

Receive His strength today to keep on going.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you in the name of your precious Son, Jesus Christ, and we ask Lord for your strength to keep us going. Give us the strength we need today to move forward and to press in and persevere. We want to finish this battle and be done with it once and for all. We want to put it behind us and look at the better days that You have, not far away. We know that You are faithful and diligent in all Your ways. It is us, Father, that is weak. Please forgive us for allowing our weakness to take over and almost cause us to give up. We know now that we need You to help us to persevere today. Please strengthen us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

BIble Verse of The Day – 12-27-16

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

God’s grace is sufficient.

It doesn’t matter what we’re facing; the loss of a loved one, a financial crisis, a troubled relationship, sin in our own lives or anything else that we might come up against. His grace is sufficient.

Sufficient: enough to meet the needs of a situation

What are you dealing with today? What kind of situation are you facing that requires God’s grace in your life?

As we face those things that test us and show us our weaknesses, that is when we realize the need for God’s grace, and the fact that our weaknesses require His strength.

So don’t let your troubles wear you down or break you. They will if we let them. But it’s up to us to let God use those hard times to build us and strengthen our faith in Him.

And remember… no trial lasts forever. No season lasts a lifetime. Dark times come, but they also go. So hold fast to your faith and lean on Him. Joy is coming!

Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) 5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
