Bible Verse of The Day – 10-27-21

Proverbs 19:20-21 (NKJV) 20 Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter days. 21 There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel – that will stand.

Have you ever looked back at your life and wished that you had listened to counsel or instruction given by someone who knew better than you did about something?

I know I do. And I’m sure we all do from time to time.

Wisdom comes by way of those who pass it down to us, as well as being gained through life’s experiences.

The easiest way, by far, to gain insight and understanding, is by way of those around us who have walked through things that have taught them valuable lessons, and are willing to pass it along to us.

What’s cool is that this can be from people we know personally, or it can be through the words penned in scripture, inspired by the Holy Spirit.

The wisdom to be gleaned in either of these two ways is invaluable, and it can literally change our lives if we heed and follow those words.

The book of Proverbs is rich with insights, wisdom and understanding that’s in little bite-sized pieces that are easy to digest and understand. So, we encourage you to take those beautiful nuggets and gobble them up like candy!

As we digest them, God will increase our understanding, and the path of our life will be forever altered.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-19-20

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…

We are living in a time where we absolutely need to have knowledge and understanding.

We need to be incredibly discerning, so as not to be fooled by so many of the things that we hear and see. This includes the things we see in the world, and the things we see and hear within the church.

The world we live in has become a very dangerous place. We are being challenged every day when it comes to our walk with God and the way we see and perceive what is going on around us.

Without knowledge, understanding and discernment, we will be easily deceived and persuaded by wolves in sheep’s clothing, and possibly even by some who make no effort whatsoever to disguise themselves or their schemes.

So, wisdom is required as we learn to discern what we’re seeing and hearing, that we don’t become victims of the wolves in our midst.

Matthew 10:16 (NKJV) 16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

We can’t let ourselves get distracted by all the events that constantly vie for our attention. Our focus needs to be solely on God and what His spirit is showing us and telling us during these times.

It can be difficult to understand it all. And this is why it’s so important that we stay close to Him, feasting on (devouring) His word each day and spending time communing and conversing with Him.

Church, this is not a dress rehearsal. It is not a trial run. We live in a real world, with real demons, deceitfulness, deviousness, wickedness and divisiveness.

The goal of this message is not to cause fear, but to prick the hearts of everyone who reads it, causing an awakening to come; to shake us out of our slumber and stir our hearts into action.

Press in to Him. Listen for His voice. And heed what He tells us.

He is our fortress, our rock, to Whom we shall cling and be safe.

Psalm 18:2 (NKJV) 2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-5-16

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Are we seeking the knowledge that God has for us?

Or do we just try to do everything on our own, with the knowledge we have learned from others? Or maybe we do everything based only our past experiences?

Knowledge is something that God offers to each one of us on a daily basis. Without it we are destroyed.

God gives us His word. Through it, we learn of Him and grow our relationship with Him.

God also gives us direction and instruction through His word. We have to take it and walk it out.

God offers us His forgiveness; it’s available to us anytime, all the time. We just have to ask Him for it.

These 3 things, knowing Him, following His directions, and asking for forgiveness when we need it, will bring us down a road leading to His knowledge.

1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV) 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Pick up God’s word, get His knowledge, and follow His plan for your life!
