Bible Verse of The Day – 2-19-21

John 13:35 (NKJV) 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Love is powerful!

It can turn things around in a heartbeat, so to speak.

Jesus tells the disciples to love, and by doing so it will reflect back on Him. And those that see us moving in such a way will know that we are His!

Isn’t that what we all want? We want the world to know we belong to Him. We want the good and pure things we do to be pointed back to Jesus. After all, it’s because of Him that our hearts can love in such a deep and moving way.

Love is the reason why God sent His only Son to this earth for us.

Now, why can’t that be our only reason to live?

If we would get the right attitude in our heart activated, together we would make a better world to live in.

We would make a huge difference and it would be contagious.

Where does it start? Right here with us.

Let us make a decision in our hearts today to love better, to love stronger and to enjoy every bit of it.

Know that our actions will be a blessing to those we come in contact with.

People will know us and who we belong to by doing what Jesus showed us to do. It will point back to Him! Hallelujah, He is love!!

John 3:16 (NKJV) 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Bible Verse of The Day – 7-29-20

Genesis 1:1 (NKJV) 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God is big. He is incredibly awesome in His power and might.

It’s safe to say that He is beyond human comprehension.

We can never truly fathom who He really is. Nor can we truly fathom the wonder of Him.

And in His incredible magnificence, He did something truly amazing; He created you and He created me.

Genesis 1:27 (NKJV) 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

This is an incredible miracle!

Despite being God above all things, He made us and wants to walk with us!

We are the work of God’s own hands. And it’s important that we never lose sight of this, since it shows us His heart, and the fact that we are incredibly important to Him.

During those times when we may feel down or without hope, it’s important that we remember Him, the Giver of hope.

When we feel unloved, remember that He is love in its purest form.

And when we feel lost, He is always there to guide our steps.

He treasures us above all else. Remember that. And never lose sight of it, no matter what you face in your life.

Psalm 139:13-14 (NLT) 13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-14-20

1 John 3:16 (NKJV) 16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

If we are a child of God, we know what love is, and we know how to use it.

God is love. He forgave our sins and received us as His child when we put our faith and trust in Him.

We cannot deny that the moment this happened we felt loved in a way we’d never felt before.

Oh, the warmth of God’s love wrapping around us the moment we said, “yes, I believe.” It’s like no other.

How many can testify of the love we felt in that moment of being born again?

I was only a young girl. But I’ll remember what I felt that day forever.

We know love, people. It’s in us. We were born again because of such love!

How do we lay down our lives for our brother?

We love them with that same love. We love them when they’re angry. We love them when they’re hurting. We love them when they talk foolish.

It’s easy to love our brother when they are good to us and easy to love. But, try loving them when they are annoying, frustrating and sassy.

It won’t be easy until we let God’s love shine. And in order to do that, we have to humbly accept the fact that He loved us that way, even in our worst moments.

He did not turn us away or talk down about us. He loved us the same then as He does now that we are cleaned up and living a different life.

Don’t ever forget where we came from. I speak for myself, but I’m sure we all have a story.

Lay down our lives for our brethren. We need each other.

I’m talking to someone today; you’ve been fighting with your brethren for some time now, and it’s not getting you anywhere.

You are always angry and uncomfortable around them. It’s time to stop and turn this thing around. In Jesus’ name, forgive them and love them with the love God put in us.

It’s time to walk this out and lighten your load. Today you will be free as you love on your brethren in spite of how they are as a person. Amen.

Our prayers are with you.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-18-20

1 John 4:18 (NKJV) 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

There is a lot to learn from this verse.

Most of us can easily understand and comprehend why there should be no fear in love. Love is, after all, not something that conjures up images of fear.

When we love someone, and someone loves us, there should be no fear associated with that relationship. Neither of the two people in that relationship should fear each other. If there is fear, then the relationship is broken and in need of repair.

This scripture, though, goes much deeper than emotional love between two people. It is really referring to the love of God, and our love toward Him.

You see, when we love God, we should not live our lives in fear of Him. Yes, we need to have a reverent fear of Him, but we should not be afraid of His judgement.

Why? Because perfect love, His love, casts out all fear. When we walk in His love, we begin to get an understanding that causes fear to no longer have control over us. It no longer causes us to be apprehensive or anxious.

And this can apply to much more than just the judgement of God. Once we are walking in the perfect love of God, our fear of other things will also begin to melt away.

We will no longer fear things that we can’t control. We will no longer fear people and what they might think or say. And we will no longer fear death.

We can do this because we know that Jesus overcame all of these things, including death.

John 16:33 (NKJV) 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

So, don’t live in fear. Not fear of man, fear of judgement, fear of death or fear of things that are out of our control.

God is faithful, and He is way bigger than the things that usually scare us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-12-19

Matthew 22:37 (NKJV) 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

Are we looking for love in the wrong places?

Look to God first. His love will satisfy our every need. He is the One that knows how to love us best. He has loved us right from the beginning!

He is so passionate about us. He wants all of us, not just a part of us.

He knows how to handle us without breaking us. His perfect touch on our hearts brings correction and keeps us in our place. He will never leave us, even if He is not happy with us at times.

What else could we want? Learn to love God first and then our heart will be ready to love others.

1 John 4:19 (NKJV) 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-20-19

Ephesians 1:7 (NKJV) 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace…

Grace, grace, God’s Grace…how wonderful is His Grace!! Thank you, Lord, for the forgiveness of our sins. Thank you for your Grace! Amen.

Today is a good day to be reminded of what the Lord did for us.

He loves us so much that He gave His life on the cross for you and me. Some may say, “why, I don’t even deserve it? I am so bad at times and even when I want to be good, I still mess things up, so why would Jesus love me so much?”.

Why did He do it? Because, He is God in the flesh, and God loved us even before we were born.

Ephesians 1:4 (NKJV) 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love…

He came here through a virgin, to gather us up to Him and to destroy the darkness that tries to destroy us.

He loves us, and nothing shall separate us from Him. Not death, not life, nor powers of darkness, and not anything in and of this world.

Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV) 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rejoice in Him today. We don’t have to search any more for love, because He first loved us.

Bible Verse of The Day – 10-22-18

1 Peter 4:8 (NKJV) 8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

As I read this verse, I asked myself, “what is fervent love?”.

Here’s what I discovered.

Showing great warmth. Intensity of spirit, feeling, enthusiasm etc. Ardent. Having, expressive of, or characterized by intense feeling; passionate.

This kind of love is what we are to learn to have toward one another. This love that Peter is talking about is a love that works. It is a love that conquers and covers a lot of sin.

How many of us today would love to have someone love us like this? Well, we do! His name is Jesus Christ. He is so passionate about us, He gave all He had; His life. No one else has ever done what He has done for us.

He wants us to love others, here, right where we are at, the way He loves us; with a fervent love.

Some of us may say today, “I don’t know how to love. I was abused, I’ve lost my love and my heart is wounded from it”.

God wants to heal that brokenness and restore your ability to love. Just open your heart up to Him again. He will heal it and make things right, so we can love again.

Dear God in Heaven,

I come to You this day and say, I’m sorry. I admit, I have been closed up for quite some time now. I have been hurt and my heart aches at times so badly. I don’t know this love that You speak of. Please help me, heal me and take away my pain. I want to love again. In the name of Jesus Christ, help me, Lord, to love like this. Amen.

God is moving. He wants a people that will love.

Bible Verse of The Day – 9-19-18

Psalm 139:10 (NKJV) 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.

You are the apple of His eye.

You are doing a wonderful job, even if you don’t think you are. You are moving forward each day, as you decide to get up and try again.

You are pleasing to your Heavenly Father as you continue to move on, even when things aren’t going so well.

You are more than a conqueror through Him and you are His beautiful child.

Your continued love toward Him, your continued praise and thankful heart toward Him, for being the God that He is, brings a smile to His face and great JOY to His heart!

You are the reason that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ. He brought salvation to you, to help you in this life and when it’s time to go home.

He is Your best friend and Someone to walk closely with. He is that Someone to run to when life is hard. And to laugh with when He turns it all around and brings good out of it. He is that Someone to sing to when no one else is there to listen. He is there and loves you dearly.

Today, He is reaching for your hand. Grab hold of His. The touch of our Father is like no other.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-28-18

Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV) 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Wow! What an incredible statement from God.

This verse describes how God sees us and what He does for us when we turn our lives over to Him.

God doesn’t just give us His name, He gives us new life. He takes our old, hard, broken heart and replaces it with a new one. He takes our heart of stone and replaces it with a heart of flesh.

There is so much love and compassion expressed in this verse. Once we see it for what it is, it will touch us in a way that we may have never felt before. It will give us a new outlook on who we are and who God is.

God originally spoke these words to the nation of Israel, through the prophet Ezekiel. But they are still relevant to us today if we have become His children and made Him our Father.

Surrender to God. Let Him give you a new heart, replacing your tired, hardened heart of stone with a beautiful, new heart of flesh.

You will not regret it.

Bible Verse of The Day – 6-20-18

John 11:35 (NKJV) 35 Jesus wept.

Jesus has a heart for people. He isn’t Someone that walked around here on earth and ignored the things He felt. He truly cared and still does. When we hurt, He hurts as well. When we suffer, He suffers with us.

We want you to know today that Jesus cares about you. When we are hurting, sad, depressed or even when we are happy, He cares about our well-being.

Sometimes we may think there is no one in this world that understands us or what it is we are going through. We may seclude ourselves and hide away, trying to keep to ourselves. But Jesus does know, without us saying a word.

So, in our loneliness we need to go to Him. He will understand. He will give us our answers and help us deal with whatever we’re going through.

Someone very close to me is going through a very hard place in their life. They did bring it on themselves by choices that they made. But even in that, Jesus will help them through as they go to Him and surrender themselves into His hands, and let Him lead them out of that hard place.

2 Corinthians 4:8 (NKJV) 8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair…

He cries too. Let Him help you today.

Bible Verse of The Day – 4-9-18

1 John 4:19 (NKJV) 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

As believers, we may sometimes go through seasons where we feel like we’re in a rut. No matter what we do, it all just feels like a routine, a ritual, a mechanical repetition of what we know how to do.

We may even start to doubt our faith, as we begin to lose touch with God and as His presence seems to wane.

When this happens, the first thing we need to understand is that God has not gone anywhere. He is always near. He is always right where we left Him.

Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) 10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

When we feel like this, it’s always something amiss on our end, not on His. It might be due to choices we’ve made. It might be due to things that have happened to us. It might be due to our lives being too busy. It might be due to many, many different things.

But there is one thing for sure, God never, ever leaves us. He is omnipotent, all powerful. He is omniscient, all-knowing. He is omnipresent, in all places at all times.

Our spiritual fatigue isn’t due to overworking our spirit. It’s due to undernourishment of our spirit. It’s due to lack of exercise for our spirit. It’s due to lack of knowledge in our spirit.

Hosea 4:6 (NKJV) 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…

And, ultimately, it all comes down to one thing. We don’t fully understand or comprehend God’s love for us. If we did, we would never, ever struggle again in our walk with Him.

Once we begin to understand His love for us, really understand it, we will begin to fall so deeply in love with Him that nothing will be able to pry us away from Him. In fact, we will develop a longing to be closer to Him than we could ever imagine.

Our faith will grow. Our desire to pull closer and closer to Him will grow. And whatever doubts we have will slowly fade away.

If our spirit is hungry for Him, we need to feed it. But not with religion and tradition. We need to feed it with Him. His word. His presence. His joy. Giving Him thanks. And showing Him gratefulness for all that He has done for us.

Amen
