Bible Verse of The Day – 1-27-24

Isaiah 43:16 NKJV) 16 Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters…

The Lord is saying, this is Me, the One who will make a way for you today!

How many of us are having a hard time?

Maybe things have changed and our situation is looking bleak.

This past year has taken its toll on us all.

We need a God-given path through the sea and the stormy waters. We need to get to the other side and leave it all behind, welcoming the fresh new start ahead.

We can relate. We feel your struggles and know the sorrow you’ve been through. It does feel good to know we are not alone on this journey.

Thus says the Lord; He makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters.

That is our word for you today!

What He says, He will do!

What is He saying to you, what promise has He given you?

Hold on, stand firm and don’t stop believing.

He will make a way!

Amen

Mark 11:24 (NKJV) 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-16-23

John 18:26-27 (NKJV) 26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off, said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?” 27 Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed.

I would not want to have been Peter when he heard that rooster crow.

I can’t even imagine what he must have felt in that moment.

Peter denied Jesus three times.

Three times he was asked if He was with Jesus. And each time, he denied knowing Him; the same disciple who told Jesus he would lay down his life for Him.

John 13:37 (NKJV) 37 Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake.”

In his heart, he really meant what he had said to Jesus. But when push came to shove, he didn’t have what it took to do what he said he would.

I believe Peter’s eyes were opened, allowing him to see himself when he was faced with such situations as this one.

Maybe some of us have made sincere statements, and then we failed to keep them. It’s human frailty.

Our intentions are good. But to keep them or follow through with them it is a whole other story.

It shows us all that we need the help of the Holy Spirit. He will give us the strength and discipline we need to stay true to our word and our convictions when we are faced with difficult circumstances.

John 20:22 (NKJV) 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.

Peter is an example for us, not so that we look down on him for his denial, but to learn and see that it can happen to any one of us. We can truly mean what we say, but our actions will show us what we are really made of.

The Holy Spirit will give us the power we need to overcome our own weaknesses and prevail in those circumstances when we would otherwise give in and deny the truth and all that we know to be right.

Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 3-1-22

Romans 1:16 (NKJV) 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Who will stand up and say, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.”?

It’s time for us to make a statement more than we have ever done before. We must stand up!

We must say, no to manipulation; the voice of the enemy that sneaks in, not with a big bang or a “look at me” approach, but with a slow, steady and subtle manipulation attack.

The enemy is not going to come in and say, “hello, I’ve come to ruin your family, your marriage, your ministry, your financial situation”.

He will do it inch by inch, piece by piece. He will try and deceive us into thinking that nothing is wrong, desensitizing us so we don’t see what is really happening until it is deeply rooted, and deeply impacting our situation.

Take a stand for the gospel, in our home, in our relationships, in our work place and in our ministries. Don’t let the enemy come in, manipulating us. Shut him down by standing up for righteousness!

May the gospel of Jesus Christ be strong and noticeable in our walk. Amen.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-1-21

Nehemiah 6:1-4 (NKJV) 6 Now it happened when Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall, and that there were no breaks left in it (though at that time I had not hung the doors in the gates), 2 that Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together among the villages in the plain of Ono.” But they thought to do me harm. 3 So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?” 4 But they sent me this message four times, and I answered them in the same manner.

Nehemiah was a warrior. He loved God and stood firm to serve Him, even in the face of extreme adversity.

As Nehemiah worked feverishly with others to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem, he was threatened numerous times by people who hated him and those who worked with him because of what they were doing. They wanted badly to see them fail and would go to great lengths to try to make that happen.

They tried everything they could think of to get them to stop; threats, physical attacks on them, and even so-called “diplomatic” meetings.

But take note of what Nehemiah did; he blew them off, knowing in his heart that they intended to harm him.

There are important lessons for us to learn in this.

The enemy will continually attack us, try to scare us, threaten us and taunt us in an effort to get us to cave in and back down from standing for God’s truth.

As Nehemiah did, we need to be sure to stand firm, even when it means taking hits and feeling extreme pressure.

It may not be comfortable or easy. But remember what Jesus did for us.

Ease and comfort were never promised for us when we chose to become a child of God.

Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-13-19

Colossians 3:23 (NKJV) 23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men…

No matter where we stand today, in this moment of our life, if we do what we are doing as unto the Lord and not unto men, nothing that man tries to do to us will stop us. We will give it our all and not even look back.

This is a good reminder for those that are in a position where they simply can’t stand one more day of abuse under their supervisor, or any other type of authority. If we are feeling mistreated and we want to quit, remember what we do and Who we do it for. God will get us through this as we do our work unto Him.

There is no way we should to give up because someone is trying to beat us down, bad-mouth us, or make us look like trouble makers.

He will set us free in the right timing and in the right way. Stay steadfast until He releases us.

This is not easy for us to do, and can be very stressful at times. But know that as we continue to persevere, God is faithful to move on our behalf in His timing.

Hebrews 13:6 (NKJV) 6 So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

Bible Verse of The Day – 12-7-18

2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV) 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

We are survivors, through Christ!

We don’t give up and we don’t give in. We live day to day and we fight the good fight.

Our minds may battle us at times, and sometimes it might get to the point where we just want to give in and do things the way our human understanding tells us to. But the voice that is strong within us keeps us walking on that straight and narrow path.

We are strong. We are moving forward. Satan is a loser and God has already won the battle!

Let us not grow weary in doing what is good. For in the end we will see it was all worth it.

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

We are ambassadors for Christ. We walk by faith and not by sight. Whatever battle we see in front of us now is not too hard for us to face. We need to put on God’s armor, stand firm on His words and His promises to us, and walk forward.

God is our Rock!

1 Samuel 2:2 (NKJV) 2 “No one is holy like the Lord, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.

Bible Verse of The Day – 8-30-18

Psalm 16:8 (NKJV) 8 I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Many things in life will try to move us. Storms beat against us. Trials try to wear us down. People try to influence us.

Sometimes it can be hard to keep fighting and resisting. We can get downright tired.

But if we keep God always before us, He will keep us from falling. He will be our strength when we’re weak. He will be our rest when we’re tired. He will be our shelter from the storms. He will be our sustenance when we’re hungry.

Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV) 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Keep God before us. And keep our eyes fixed on Him. We shall not be moved.
