Bible Verse of The Day – 1-5-17

John 15:5 (NKJV) 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Just as a branch needs to be connected to the vine in order to continue to grow, so do we, as His children, need to be connected to our Lord in order that we can grow, learn and become all that He wants us to be.

When we stay connected to Him and not try to do things on our own, we will bear fruit.

Some people today are wondering why things aren’t going right in their church, in their home or with their relationships.

Maybe there has been a disconnecting from God and it’s time to sit down and take some time to see where and when things went wrong.

Sometimes things may happen that we have no control over, but many times the things that happen in our lives are due to choices we’ve made.

It’s never too late to get back on track.

Don’t be afraid to admit when we get off track. Being honest is critical to making things right again. The quicker we acknowledge it and do something about it, the quicker the fruit begins to come again.

Bible Verse of The Day – 11-28-16

Ezekiel 36:26 (NKJV) 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Sometimes believers, followers of Christ, will begin to fall or pull away from God gradually, a little at a time. And sometimes they might not realize how far they have gotten from Him until they are very far away.

But here is a good test to let us know where we’re really at. Our heart. What condition is our heart in?

As we let distance grow between us and God, our heart will slowly, gradually grow hard. And the longer we let that distance stay there, the harder our heart will get. And the harder it can become for us to come back around to God.

But God gives us grace to see our condition and he offers His mercy to draw us back to Him without fear or condemnation.

God isn’t waiting for us to come back to Him so He can point His finger at us and scold us and tell us about how bad we are. He wants us to come back so He can heal our heart and replace our hardened heart of stone with a heart of flesh.

So if you’ve drifted away from God, He is waiting on you, calling you back to Him. And He’s offering you His grace and mercy, and the opportunity for Him to give you a new heart that will long to know Him and love Him once again.

Don’t wait another day. Run to Him right this minute. And surrender yourself to Him once and for all.
